Sylvan Lake School Age Care Society - Kidz Club

The Sylvan Lake School Age Care Society (Kidz Club) was formed in August 2004. We are a licensed, non profit offering before and after school care at three local schools. Our objective is to enhance the lives of children and families in our community by providing quality School Age Care Programs for working parents in Sylvan Lake. Our Philosophy is that school aged children learn in many ways. Whe

n out of school they learn by example of parent or caregiver. We strive to provide much more than a home away from home. Kids need good adult examples of behavior and by modeling loving, patient and understanding care; children will develop a sense of respect and appreciation for one another as well as for themselves. They need to be in an environment that is based on caring, understanding, respect and acceptance. Kids should have a variety of activities to choose from and participate in. By playing and interacting with others and assimilating real life experiences with guidance of professionals, they are more prepared for the world. Because children are individuals and learn at their own pace, a diverse program is required to recognize and celebrate that individuality. By providing mental and physical challenges at a level they can succeed at, children will find their self-worth and self-esteem. Field trips into the community will broaden their view of the world around them and teach them the importance of social and environmental responsibilities.
