One week until Sunday Funday on June 14 at our Firehall from Noon to 3pm!!

Bring cash for the auction, 50/50 draw and t-shirts for your Future Firefighters - otherwise everything is FREE!!!

We have over 30 prize packages in our Silent Auction thanks to our generous sponsors including weekend passes to Roots & Blues, hanging baskets, beauty baskets, kites and stickers, gift certificates for books and pho and cider and flowers and the movies & MORE!

We will also be announcing the inaugural recipient of the Jonathon Bruce Memorial Award at the event.

With 2.5 weeks til Sunday Funday on June 14th at the Tappen Sunnybrae Firehall, there is still time to donate a prize for our Silent Auction!
Though we have an awesome array of donations already, we could definitely use some items that appeal to the youngsters (as well as the young-at-heart)!

Effective at 12:00 Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) on May 7, 2026, Category 2 and 3 open fires will be prohibited throughout the Kamloops Fire Centre. A map of the affected area is available here.

In addition to Category 2 and Category 3 open fires being prohibited, the following activities and equipment are also restricted:
• Air curtain burners
• Carbonizers
• Binary exploding targets
• Fireworks, as defined in the Fireworks Act of BC
• Burn barrels or burn cages of any size or description, except when used for a Category 1 campfire as defined in the Wildfire Regulation
• Controlled air incinerators

This open fire prohibition will remain in effect until 12:00 noon Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) on Oct. 19, 2026, or until the orders are rescinded.
