Grateful for our community and our neighbours (and not just because they swifly answered our call for mutual aid on Vella Rd).
Stay safe, folks.

π· We want to extend our appreciation to CSRD fire crews from Tappen Sunnybrae, Shuswap, White Lake and Eagle Bay, along with BC Wildfire crews for extinguishing a structure fire in Tappen and keeping it from igniting the neighbouring forest. This was a serious concern and we deeply appreciate their work in keeping the community safe. π·
π The Shuswap Emergency Program will be meeting with BC Wildfire later this morning to get updated information. We will continue to update our website and social media today.
