🚨 TRAINING NIGHT: VEHICLE EXTRICATION 🚨

This past Tuesday, our crew focused on stabilization and extrication techniques during our weekly training night.

Working with complex scenarios, including vehicles on their side and stacked, allows our members to practice with specialized tools like rescue struts, cribbing, and our other extrication tools but also including tools we don't use all the time like come alongs, cluster hooks and others in a controlled environment.

It also made the crews think on the fly to try and solve complex extrications in a more relaxed environment before they have to deal with them during a live scene.

These hands-on drills are crucial for ensuring we are ready for the unpredictable nature of real-life rescue situations.

Thank you to our dedicated members who showed up to sharpen their skills and to everyone who supports our ongoing training efforts!

Feels hot? Stop using it!

Lithium-ion batteries—found in phones, power banks, and other electronics—can bulge, overheat, and pose a serious fire hazard when damaged or failing. If your device is abnormally hot, swollen, or misshapen like the one pictured here, take action immediately: power it down, stop using it, and dispose of it safely. A small action today can prevent a major fire emergency.🚒

🎮 SOFT SURFACE? HARD PASS. 🔋
Charging gaming controllers, phones, or laptops on beds, couches, or beanbags traps heat and creates a serious fire hazard.

Keep your family safe with these quick tips:

Charge on hard, flat surfaces like desks or tables.
Keep chargers uncovered—never under pillows, blankets, or clothes.
Unplug when fully charged, and avoid charging devices on soft furniture overnight.

Small action. Big impact.
