Keewatin Tribal Council (KTC) is hosting a Braiding Our Medicine Journey – Connecting Heart, Mind and Spirit Gathering.

A wellness gathering for Indian Residential and Day School survivors and Sixties Scoop survivors. This gathering will be a place for survivors to connect to self-identity, the natural laws, the medicines of the land, relearning our language, the sacred teachings, ceremonies, songs, customary laws and our ancestral landmarks.

KTC extends an open invitation to Indian Residential, Day School and Sixties Scoop Survivors to join us on August 22, 23 and 24, 2022 at Mile 20 on Highway 391 (Mile 20 is situated 30 minutes north of Thompson).

KTC will sponsor two individuals from each KTC First Nation to attend the gathering. The two individuals will be identified by each KTC affiliated First Nation.

All other individuals are invited to attend and will be responsible for booking and paying for all of their own travel costs.
