REP Giwaydin Security Inc. | Remote Mine Site-Northwestern Ontario
REP Giwaydin Security is looking for reliable, professional, and safety-minded Security Guards to join our team at a remote mine site in Northwestern Ontario!
As an Indigenous-owned security company, we’re proud to support local employment and create meaningful opportunities for Indigenous communities. This is an opportunity to join a growing project at the start of camp operations, with the potential for the security team to expand as the project develops.
POSITION DETAILS
-Location: Remote mine site in Northwestern Ontario
-Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off
-Shifts: Two 12-hour shifts — days and nights
-Pay Rate: $23.92 Supervisor $25.30 with possibility of a performance bonus of up to $4500
-Travel, Accommodation & Meals: Provided
-Project Status: Starting with camp operations, with the security team expected to grow as the project expands
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Monitor and control access to the site, verifying identification and credentials for employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery vehicles.
-Conduct regular foot and mobile patrols of the site, perimeter, equipment yards, and designated areas.
-Protect site property, equipment, materials, and infrastructure from theft, vandalism, trespassing, and unauthorized access.
-Monitor vehicle movements, deliveries, gates, and fencing.
Identify and report safety hazards, suspicious activity, security concerns, and wildlife activity.
-Respond to incidents and emergencies, following site procedures and notifying supervisors and site management as required.
-Complete daily activity logs, patrol records, and incident reports.
-Maintain professional communication with site personnel, contractors, visitors, and fellow team members.
-Follow all site-specific security procedures, health and safety requirements, PPE standards, and emergency protocols.
-Participate in site orientations, safety meetings, and required training.
REQUIREMENTS
*****Valid Ontario Security Guard License*******
-Standard First Aid and CPR/AED certification.
-Valid WHMIS certification.
-Strong communication, observation, and report-writing skills.
-Reliable, punctual, professional, and able to work independently.
-Ability to work a rotational schedule and spend 14 consecutive days at a remote work site.
-Willingness to follow all site safety requirements and wear required personal protective equipment.
****Previous mining, construction, industrial, remote-camp, or access-control experience is an asset.
