The new Sigma Wolf Solutions website is officially LIVE! 🐺

I’m thrilled to share it!

Indigenous engagement and advisory services continue to be the foundation of my work, but Sigma Wolf is growing. The new website reflects the expanded range of support I now provide, including facilitation and mediation, field support, training and workshops, environmental and project assistance, and the evolving Beyond the Checkbox training series.

A huge thank you to Ricky Houle for helping bring this vision to life. Ricky worked through my endless ideas, last-minute ā€œsmall changesā€ šŸ˜†, and very specific expectations to create a website I’m genuinely proud of.

Thank you, Ricky, for your patience, creativity, guidance, and for helping create a site that truly feels like me and Sigma Wolf.

Same roots. More ways to support.

Independent. Insightful. Impactful.
Boots on the ground. Eyes on the site.

The new website is live — take a look!

Behind the Wolf — Part 5

People Are My Favourite Puzzle

Some people love solving technical problems.

I love solving people problems.

Not because people are broken.

Because every challenge has a story.

Different perspectives.

Different priorities.

Different fears.

Different goals.

Somewhere in all that noise is usually a path forward.

I genuinely enjoy untangling the messy middle—asking the questions others don’t think to ask, finding common ground, and helping people have conversations they didn’t think were possible.

That’s what led me to complete my mediation and conflict management training.

Because while reports, permits, and policies matter…

Relationships move projects forward.

Helping people understand one another is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

Independent. Insightful. Impactful.

If you could wave a magic wand and fix one communication challenge on your project tomorrow… what would it be?

I’d love to hear about it.

Behind the Wolf — Part 4 The Messy Middle
The best solutions are rarely found by choosing sides, they’re built by creating space for honest dialogue.

A package showed up this week that meant a lot to me.
It was the framed copy of my Executive Certificate in Conflict Management from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University.
That certificate represents more than a course.
It represents another tool I can bring to my clients.
I'm trained in conflict management, mediation, and facilitating dialogue from a neutral, impartial third-party perspective.
Because the truth is...
Projects rarely stall because of the paperwork.
They stall when communication breaks down.
When relationships become strained.
When people stop listening to understand.
That's where I do my best work.
Whether it's helping facilitate difficult conversations, bridging perspectives, or asking the questions others may be avoiding, my goal is always the same:
Help people move forward together.
Independent. Insightful. Impactful.
What's the biggest challenge on your project that's keeping you up at night?
I'd love to hear about it. Maybe I can help.

True prosperity happens when Indigenous communities, industry, and government stop working in silos and start aligning toward shared goals.

The Indigenous Forum at the Canadian Mining Expo on June 10 in Timmins is focused on exactly that- Aligning pathways to prosperity through honest dialogue, relationship-building, and practical collaboration.

This forum will bring together Indigenous leadership, industry, and government representatives to discuss:
• Long-term partnership approaches
• Economic opportunities and shared benefits
• Responsible resource development
• Community priorities and environmental stewardship
• Collaboration instead of conflict
• Building certainty through meaningful engagement

Strong projects and strong communities are built through alignment, trust, and ongoing relationships, not transactional conversations.

If you are passionate about the future of mining, Indigenous partnerships, and economic growth in Northern Ontario, this is a conversation worth being part of.

Join us June 10–11 at the Canadian Mining Expo in Timmins.

Let’s align the pathways to prosperity together.

You can’t fast-track trust.
And until industry understands that, projects will keep stalling.

What I’ve learned facilitating consultation with First Nations:

I’ll say this straight.

Most of industry is still getting this wrong.

You can rebrand it.
You can streamline it.

If you don’t have social license, you don’t have a project.

And no — communities are not the problem.

Consultation isn’t what’s slowing you down.

It’s:
šŸ‘‰ Internal confusion
šŸ‘‰ Duplicated processes
šŸ‘‰ Not understanding what meaningful engagement actually is

That’s the bottleneck.

Let’s be clear:

Every community expects a fair share when development happens in their territory.

That’s not greed.

That’s reality.

The ones who understand that early?
They move.

The ones who don’t?
They stall.

Consultation is not a checklist.
It’s a relationship.

And relationships don’t run on your timelines.

They run on trust.

The projects that move all follow the same loop:

Listen → Learn → Adjust → Report Back → Repeat

I’ve seen alignment happen.

But only when:
• Engagement starts early
• It’s real, not performative
• Long-term agreements are on the table

Communities don’t think in silos.

They look at the full picture — past, present, future.

Cumulative effects.

That’s not a barrier.

That’s the standard.

A few truths:
• People read your energy before your words
• If you show up transactional, you’ve already lost
• Time is taken, not forced

This isn’t about pushing projects through.

It’s about earning your way in.

And the ones who figure that out?

They don’t just get approvals.
They build relationships that actually last.

Sigma Wolf Solutions is heading to the Mine Opportunity Games. Hosted at Northern College March 31, by Mine Connect in partnership with the Goodman School of Mines… and we’re bringing the fun with us.

Think Jeopardy-style mining trivia
Answer questions → earn ballots → win gift cards as part a booth that part of the bigger game!

But more importantly…
It’s about exposing the next generation to the real range of careers in mining- Way beyond what most people think.

Exploration. Environment. Community. Trades. Tech.

If we can spark curiosity early, we’re already winning.

Winter isn’t done yet… but you can feel it loosening its grip.

Around here, spring doesn’t arrive quietly. It pushes its way in.
And honestly, I love that.

I’m excited for the shift in energy, the longer days, and everything that comes with a fresh season; new ideas, new projects, and stronger connections.
Oh! …and the smell of mud!

Let’s see what this spring brings.
Bring it on… 2026!
