Right now, the most hiring industries, according to Statistics Canada, are the healthcare and social assistance sector, accounting for one in seven unfilled jobs in Canada. The biggest shortage of workers is in hospitals and residential care facilities.

Which workers are needed? Kitchen helpers, food counter attendants, nurses, retail salespersons, shelf stockers, order filers, building construction workers, and electricians.
