Hello, everyone,
Something new - for those who want to fix his their own appliance or who want to start appliance repair business (and meet like-minded people):
I started a Meetup group "Major Home Appliances Repair - Ask Anything". Please visit https://www.meetup.com/major-home-appliances-repair-ask-anything-meetup-group/ to register (it is free). We will meet first time as soon as I get enough members. I will keep you posted.
Sessions will last 2 to 4 hours with pauses in-between so you can know each other better and exchange ideas and contact info.
During a session I will try to answer all your questions regarding major home appliances repair.
If you need a part I will source it for you so you will save on part(s) purchases.
Price would be $20 per participant (plus minimum one drink upon arrival) but I hope you will save that amount on part(s) alone, not to mention other benefits.
While I am preparing our first session I will like to kindly ask you to tell me what do you think about the matter. Do you have any suggestions? What would you like to achieve through those meetings (one time appliance repair... or, start you own business).
If you already have some questions in mind - please let me know so I get better Idea about your interests regarding this.

"Dryer not blowing hot air"
I got a call about a clothes dryer not blowing hot air. I turned the dryer ON to see if really wouldn't blow hot air but actually it did blow hot air. I asked the tenant for more details about the problem and tenant said that it took two cycles (instead of one) to fully dry the clothes and he also said that the same thing happened to another tenant (using the same dryer). I checked the lint screen and many other things, like timer speed, washer's spinning speed, dryer's motor overheating and stopping, belt slippage... and everything seemed to be ok. Then I saw a white bag a couple meters beside the dryer. I checked the bag and there was only one piece of dryer's lint, but it was a very thick piece, like it wasn't taken out of the dryer for at least several loads. I realized that that piece of lint caused the problem and that was the reason I couldn't find anything wrong about dryer's operation. Who would expect that a tenant would take the lint out and not check if the problem was solved? Sometimes, you just have to expect unexpected.

My name is Dragan Panic. I repair major home appliances (washers, dryers, dishwashers, stoves and fridges) and have been in business in Toronto and GTA area for over 15 years.
All this time I was happy to discuss appliance repair options and costs over the phone, prior to visit - to help customers make informed repair decision without paying a service call whenever possible. This page will further enhance this possibility by allowing you to ask questions in written form and help you and others to learn more about the world of appliance repair problems, possible solutions and costs.
I will also take some photos on my own and post them here as often as I got something interesting.
