521 CRS? Here is what you actually need to win. 👇

It’s draw week again! IRCC just dropped 2,000 ITAs for the CEC pool (Sept 1) – that’s double the last round! But the score only went down to 521. 😬

Congrats to the lucky ones who got the invite!

But let’s be real: 521 is still crazy high. To get there, you need a CANADIAN education, max language scores, AND valid foreign experience.

Here is the scary part: IRCC is cracking down HARD on foreign work experience documentation. I’ve been seeing way too many refusals because the “proof” wasn’t good enough. One wrong document can tank your score below the cutoff. You could even be slapped with misrepresentation—which is a life-ban from Canada. 😱

OINP sent a cancellation notice. I wasn’t stressed — I expected it. 🤷‍♀️

Here’s what happened 👇

My client got her OINP nomination in just 4 weeks. Fastest I’ve ever seen. But when we needed her employer to support a T13 work permit, they said no.

Her permit was expiring. No AOR in sight.

So I recommended the BC pathway. She’s a nurse — priority occupation across Canada. She got her BC license, found a new job, and moved.

We applied for BC PNP, then Express Entry PNP.

She just got her P2 email. PR is basically approved. 🎉

Not everyone can move provinces mid-application. But if you’re stuck with an expiring permit or unsupportive employer, you might have options you haven’t considered.

⚠️ Stop scrolling if you are a student in Canada applying for PR! 🇨🇦

There is one document you must keep safe for your Express Entry profile, and it’s not your degree or passport.

It’s your PGWP Submission Confirmation. 📄

Here is why this date matters so much:
✅ It is the official date you can start working FULL-TIME.
✅ It marks the exact start date of the work experience you can claim points for.
✅ It is essential for your Employer Reference Letter and Post-ITA documentation.

Do not mix up your graduation date with your PGWP application date! This small detail can change your CRS score.

🛑 Got an ITA but short on work experience? DO NOT PANIC. Here is the exact rule. 🇨🇦
One of the most common questions I get right now: “I got an ITA but I’m 2 weeks short of my 1-year Canadian work experience. Do I decline it?”

I get it. An ITA (Invitation to Apply) is like gold dust these days, and the fear of misrepresentation or refusal is real. You don’t want to mess this up. 💸

But before you hit “decline,” you need to check your specific situation. 👇

✅ DO NOT DECLINE if:
You are still employed and will hit your 1-year mark (1,560 hours) within the 60-day deadline before you submit your application. As long as you meet the requirement before you hit “submit,” you are good to go!

❌ DECLINE if:
You are no longer employed and there is no physical way to complete the required days/hours within that 60-day window. In that case, unfortunately, declining is the only safe option to avoid a refusal.

Immigration rules are strict, but they aren’t always as scary as they seem. You just need to know the fine print. 📄

CEC CRS SCORE HITS 523 😱

IRCC just dropped a small draw (only 1,000 ITAs), and we are officially back in the 520s.

What this means for you:

Small draws = High scores.

Expect scores to hover between 520-530 until December (just like last year).

Bigger draws (and lower scores) are likely coming later this fall.

What you should do now:
Don’t panic. Plan for the upcoming Express Entry changes. And if you got an invite, congrats! 🥳
