What is the Atlantic Immigration Program?
- The Atlantic Immigration Program is a pathway to permanent residence for skilled foreign workers and international graduates who want to work and live in 1 of Canada’s 4 Atlantic provinces—New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island or Newfoundland and Labrador. The program helps employers hire qualified candidates for jobs they haven’t been able to fill locally.
Who is qualified and who are Ong and Associates catering to?
- Nurse/caregiver/midwife/PSW with at least two years of PROVEN experience in patient care in the last 5 years (with employment letters verifying your responsibilities or tax filings)
- You must either have a bachelor’s degree or a have a 2 year college equivalency (WES) + NC2 certificate in caregiving or PSW
- Good English communication skills (this will be tested during our first call)
- IELTS score of at least 5.5
What is the process and what is the cost?
- In total, the entire process will cost US$ 6,500 in consultancy fees which does not include Canada Government fees, airfare and settlement costs
STEP 1: Screening of credentials via review of the resume or curriculum vitae (CV)
STEP 2: Orientation on the Atlantic Immigration Program of Canada via Virtual Zoom Meeting and Interview to Determine if Credentials and Communication skills are qualified for the program
STEP 3: Retainer Agreement Signing and Initial Deposit of $3,000 USD
STEP 4: Scheduling of Employer Interview
STEP 5: Scheduling of Mock Interviews (Practice) prior to Employer Interview
STEP 6: After passing Employer Interview, proceed to Step 7; If rejected, go back to Step 4
STEP 7: Secure Job Offer from Employer and prepare for all documents needed for Work Permit and Permanent residence application and pay $2,000 USD
STEP 8. Apply for Provincial Endorsement Certificate
STEP 9: Apply for Work Permit and pay the final $1500 USD
STEP 10: Apply for Permanent Residency
STEP 11: Fly to Canada - Kindly prepare separate fees for other requirements (Educational validation - WES, language proficiency- IELTS, medical, police clearance, Work Permit (WP) application and Permanent Residency (PR) application). More or less this would 3,500 USD estimate for the whole famiy. So in total an applicant would need around 10,000 USD. Applicant to shoulder airfare and settlement/living expenses for his/her family. But at least applicant would have a job upon landing which would pay for monthly living expenses.
