At the same time, I was also climbing the ladder at one of the largest fast-food chains, from Customer Service and eventually reaching a management position. In those early years, I had to juggle both jobs to supplement my low income. Amidst the pandemic, I initially believed that working from home would bring benefits, sparing me from commuting. However, I soon discovered that it led to longer working hours, even when I was not feeling well. In my quest for a rewarding career and its accompanying benefits I anticipated satisfaction, peace of mind, and job security. Unfortunately, reality proved otherwise as company policies lacked enforcement, just empty promises. The corporate culture prioritized a survival-of-the-fittest mentality rather than fostering a supportive environment. The economic fluctuations affected many people across the globe, prompting them to explore online to make ends meet. Surprisingly, I found myself in a similar situation, despite my unfamiliarity with social media relying solely on a traditional job wouldn't suffice to settle our debts, mortgage, or provide ample time for family. It made me contemplate the potential challenges we might face if we were to fall ill or suffer an injury. As a result, it became vital to create other ways to earn money to protect ourselves from such situations. In essence, we are unprepared and anxious about our retirement future. The idea of working during our golden years is unimaginable. Breaking free from the corporate culture and becoming my own b.o.s.s has always been my heartfelt dream. Despite my attempts at selling, all I had were losses and worries, destroying my self-confidence. Fortunately, a solution presented itself!
