Hi, Hello, how are you all?
We at As Lines Meet have been working away!
We are open and still taking in orders and requests haha

Unfortunately, working on the orders while juggling classwork, health, and external responsibilities has resulted in the abrupt decision to postpone my social media activity until further notice

Haha it makes sense to me when I realize where my strong suits are (not in social media) so please pardon me as I now use this page to represent my progress in learning how to prioritize myself.
Funny enough, this page is something I put together to encourage myself to be creative and share creativity. It was for me- sounds strange to say

As I rework what kind of content I want to share and prioritize time for myself to execute these plans- I hope you can then steadily watch as I get better, maybe a tad 'worse', and then better again !

Till then, take care of yourself !

🤔How did we/I start?🤔

As Lines Meets is run as a Sole proprietorship! Through the help of a grant from the Ontario Summer Company Program- I turned my freelance design work into a developing business! 👩🏽‍🔧👩🏽‍🏭👩🏽‍🎨👩🏽‍💻

Honestly, it all happened quite spontaneously with alot of hard work and support. I was recommended this program from a close friend after my winter semester ended and soon rushed to:

➡️ 1) learn what a business plan is and should look like
➡️ 2) believe I had something tangible enough to write about
➡️ 3) write up the plan throughout May 2020 and apply
For reference, I study Biomed/Mech. Engineering. So...what do I know about business? I don't haha 😂🤷🏽‍♀️ ⚙️🧠

But I was a little lost and unsure of what I wanted to do, as I felt I enjoyed alot of things but had difficulty specifying.

Last year I asked someone for advice, to paraphrase they said, "EXPLORE, you are young and got time!".. I had no idea what that meant

😅 Well, when you don't know what you like, you can take a different angle. That- is to figure out what you don't like and try! 😤

So I did the spontaneous and applied. I also got to scratch that itch wondering if marketing a business was something I'd enjoy... And no...nono.....
No.
Frankly it's my least favourite aspect of running a business.
Though I really do enjoy meeting clients and manufacturing their designs!

All in all,
I look forward to telling that kind soul that their advice led me to starting up my own damn small-scale manufacturing and design business!! 🙌🏽

And now that the programs through, I got a lil weight off my shoulders that I made it.

I want to take that momentum to steadily start sharing with you the small tid-bits I've learned. 🙃

Ever turn a day off into a weekend off? 🌄

One day off on Saturday made me realize how tired I've been learning the ins and outs of running a business while also just living out these days in general. 😴

🙌🏽 Soo I took the Sunday off as a "Me day" and took up a hobby reminiscent of a childhood show, which is building this cute mini Gundam you see in the photo! Haha 😅

I can't tell you how calming it is to pop out all the pieces and snap it together like a 3D puzzle (w/instructions).

To everyone thus far, thank you for all the support!

🎉An engraving and custom frame made for an absolutely lovely couple and their anniversary!🎊

was one of our first clients we've had when we launched mid-June and one of our favorites to date! 💛

The clients request asked for a minimal style drawing which I outsourced to and thus, this collaborative effort came through 🙃

The whole piece was made from Baltic birch plywood, hand sanded and finished with varying degrees of wipe on polyurethane to give the outer frame that contrast from the inner engraving!

During the design process we made some samples to ensure their unique request can be met.

💡As an idea from the client herself- we Included the final samples as keychains!
Such a simple and creative idea which inspired us to make it available to all 😄

These samples show the regions my family grew up and lived in throughout their lives!

PART TWO of our NameChains, continuation of the "Who Am I?" Series and introduction to AsLinesMeets services!!

I don't know about you, but my name is of Arabic origin. And my mother tongue is bangla.

So wouldn't it be even cooler to get your name in your OWN language of choice?

Because we all know English is the unfortunate standard and rare/not often to be the root to where our name comes from.

Challenge us and request through our service page a design in a language of your choosing! Select from designs shown above or suggest your own (it'll remain your own). :)

Get your name on a keychain but with a twist!

First of a new series, "Who Am I?"
That question usually starts with a name don't you think?

My name is Saabiqa (suh-bee-ka) and in the past few years I've often simplified my name to Saab to make it easier for others.
Whenever I want a simple custom name it always costs so much for my full last name so I stick with shortened Saab!

Ugh- not today!😤
I want to encourage you to use your full name!

Encouraged by actually making it cheaper to use more characters!!!
