Shucking oysters fresh from

They taste sweet, fresh and smell of the sea. Highly recommend their banana pepper and ginger sauce as well for people who may not be 💯 into oysters as the spice and acid really compliments the flavours, like having a fresh bbq sea bass on the side of a beach in Thailand. Think the taste of cerviche. I would say it's a good introduction to a really beautiful food, eaten at it's prime, self contained and full of nutrients.

I feel a lot of people just have these because they're fancy and expensive and gulp them down fast because they don't want to look like they don't like oysters. But like lobsters, oysters have a humble past. It's a shame to consume these if you're just showing off, there's nothing wrong with that I guess, do what makes you happy. But every time you eat an oyster, as I did these, shucking them reminded me that something died for me and if it did, it should be cherished not just for ego but because it was a beautiful, living creature that nourished you as part of the cycle of life.

Man, why'd I have to go so deep. Go buy oysters and eat them already.

This happened, finally. One of my favorite plant stores started curbside pickup and I really, really want them to be around when this is all over.
We haven't had takeout or delivery very much at all. I would say less than $150 spent since March 7. I went into an ancient part of my being and heritage from my own family living through WWII, my grandma passing down stories of resourcefulness and frugality.
But I really want local business owners like them to survive. So, my discretionary income has gone to local coffee roasters, butchers, family restaurants, local chocolatiers and patisseries. It sounds incredibly bougie to argue for certain types of small business because they're 'non essential' but these businesses are essentially to these people. They work to create beautiful things with their minds, hearts, ideas, curiosity and we're the recipients of their gifts. No one starts a business to get rich. They start it because they believe someone else will have pleasure from it.

Building a new rig. What strange times we live in. Of course, there will always be the usual set up of a 8k camera in beastmode producing huge bits of data ported to an equally souped up editing unit, complete with all the post production of colour grading, audio engineering and animation. However, these changing circumstances have really made me and some clients re-evaluate the purpose and applicable use of live content; what initially as just a 'push' marketing activity to more of a 'pull'. Generally, the consensus when it comes to commercial video production and brands is that there is a huge element of risk. Content takes several stages of approval, not to mention the sometimes extreme lenghts we go to in pre-production as well as post shoot when lawyers get a final look over. Whether we see a future in this, if this new use of going "live" fades, I'm definitely seeing a whole new range of use for rigs like this and how it will change the marketing, advertising and PR landscape.
