What if the biggest thing holding you back is actually your own brain trying to protect you?
Sounds strange, doesn't it?
But think about how often we talk ourselves out of opportunities, delay decisions, or convince ourselves that we need more experience, more preparation or more confidence before taking the next step.
Sometimes those are valid reasons. But sometimes, they are simply fear dressed up as logic.
I had the pleasure of being invited as a guest speaker at the Next Level & Beyond Program, where I spoke about something I am deeply passionate about โ MINDSET.
One thought I shared was:
โYour brain may be trying to protect you from the very success you say you want.โ
Our brain naturally prefers what feels familiar and predictable, even when stepping outside that comfort zone could open doors to something better.
And one thing experience has taught me is that confidence doesn't always come before action. More often, it grows because we took action despite our doubts.
Thank you to the wonderful hosts for inviting me and creating an opportunity for meaningful conversations and learning.
Here's a question worth asking ourselves: Are we making decisions based on what we are capable of, or based on what we are afraid might happen?
