IMGIS will bring together utilities, AEC, transportation, infrastructure and asset management professionals from across Canada to explore how GIS is helping organizations make smarter decisions, modernize operations and build more resilient infrastructure.

On October 21 at the Esri Canada User Conference, join two back-to-back presentations exploring how GIS is supporting Indigenous communities through better data management, decision-making and long-term sustainability.

At 3:00 p.m., Shared Value Solutions Ltd.’ Emma Hawley-Yan and Lynn Wardle will present 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗿: 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗨𝘀𝗲 & 𝗢𝗰𝗰𝘂𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴, showcasing a tool designed to help Nations document knowledge, map features, track results and manage project information.

At 3:30 p.m., Jacob Brown and Thomas Bucher from the Confederacy of Mi’kmaw Nations will share their 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀-𝗟𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺, developed to replace paper-based processes, streamline reporting and support community operations.
