I’ve been doing a lot of networking this past year.

At first, it was definitely out of my comfort zone—but I kept showing up. And somewhere along the way, it started to feel easier. Even fun.

I used to wonder: Am I supposed to be landing clients at these events?

But I’ve come to see it differently. Networking isn’t always about quick wins—it’s about building relationships, making connections, and letting the long game unfold.

The biggest takeaway I keep hearing—and feeling—is this:

There’s room for all of us.
When we let go of the competition mindset and focus on lifting each other up, amazing things happen.

This quote really captures that spirit.

It’s about community, collaboration, and building your A-team.

I knew I needed a newsletter—I procrastinated. I’ll get to it later…

With some nudging and encouragement, I finally took the plunge.

I launched my monthly newsletter, The Scoop a year ago, and haven’t looked back since. In fact, I’m hooked.

Here are some quick tips to get you started on your journey:

✅ Choose a platform (Mailerlite, Mailchimp, etc.)
✅ Import your contact list
✅ Decide on content - topic(s) and theme(s) - write what you know
✅ Create a layout - get inspired by newsletters you admire
✅ Just start (progress > perfection) - you’ll get better the more you do it

February is blessing us with the Winter Wonderland effect. Get your skis out and head to your nearest park. It’s been a while since we’ve had a snowfall like this in my city. Do you feel like you are in a snow globe too?

This weekend happens to be Family Day. I participated in something different this year. A gang of us, cousins, spouses and children spent an afternoon at the Daily Bread Food bank. We helped pack a lot of food. I believe collectively approximately 100 volunteers packed about 20,000 lbs of food items. With a great system, strategy and teamwork, it’s amazing what you can accomplish in a 3-hour shift.

We get by with a little help from our friends. In this month’s newsletter, I wanted to share some tips on how we can help each other grow on social media. We don’t have to do it alone.
