I’m excited to share one of our recently completed projects, where curved forms and thoughtful lighting give the space a distinctive, contemporary character, while natural materials bring warmth and timelessness.

One of the design challenges was bringing the fireplace’s curved form to life in natural stone. We were excited to find , a showroom specializing in innovative natural stone surfaces, including incredibly flexible 1 mm stone panels. For this project, we selected Italian travertine.

This material allowed us to bring our design concept to life exactly as envisioned in our client’s beautiful home.

Musicality, translated into colour.

Every space we design starts with a feeling before it becomes a floor plan.

For this unique music school, that feeling was pop culture. Bold, layered, unapologetically expressive. So instead of playing it safe underfoot, we let the carpet carry the story: a custom color palette pulling from the energy of the genres this space celebrates.

Musicality isn’t just what you hear in a room. It’s what you feel when you walk into one.

An investment office, translated through material and form.

The design began with the client’s connection to aviation—not as a literal theme, but as a point of departure.

Aircraft-grade metal informed the custom reception desk, while cloud imagery was applied to the office glazing, creating a quiet reference to flight.

Curved elements throughout the space, particularly the curved glass, introduce movement and soften the architecture, allowing the spaces to flow naturally into one another.

Raw, industrial materials were balanced with refined detailing and a restrained palette. Nothing was added for effect; every material and gesture was considered as part of a larger narrative.

A workplace shaped by materiality, movement and precision.

Most people will spend less than two minutes here. We spent months designing it.

At CF Fairview Mall, this public washroom renovation wasn’t simply about refreshing finishes. It was about rethinking how thoughtful design can improve the everyday experience.

Every decision, from circulation and accessibility to lighting, material selection, durability, and long-term maintenance, was carefully considered to create a space that performs beautifully for thousands of visitors each day.

Working within the client’s investment parameters, our objective was clear: deliver a timeless design that balances operational performance, longevity, and elevated aesthetics without compromising quality.

Because great commercial design isn’t measured by how much attention it attracts.

It’s measured by how effortlessly it works.

Before it was architecture, it was a pattern.

The line work on Duo Cafe’s wax paper, the one most guests never look twice at, became the concept for the wood screen that anchors the space.

What started as packaging became the detail that won Best Single Detail at the Canadian Interiors Best of Canada Awards.

Some ideas are too good to stay small.

Can you spot the detail that won a national design award?

Take a closer look. 👀

When we designed Duo Cafe .cafe in Richmond Hill, every line, material, and transition was considered with intention. We believe the most memorable spaces aren’t defined by what immediately captures attention, but by the details that quietly shape how people experience a place.

One of those details was recognized with the Canadian Interiors Best of Canada Award for Best Single Detail (2021) — a milestone that helped define our studio’s design philosophy.

Years later, this project continues to remind us that great design isn’t about creating something louder. It’s about creating something timeless.

Because the spaces people remember most are often built on the details they almost missed.

Now we’re curious... what detail caught your eye first? Drop your guess below. ⬇️

Most people would choose wallpaper. We chose real stone.

Luxury is defined by the decisions you don’t immediately see.

For this custom curved fireplace wall, we’re using 1 mm natural travertine reinforced with a fiberglass backing, allowing genuine stone to wrap seamlessly around a curved surface while preserving the depth, movement, and character only nature can create.

Many projects replicate this look with printed finishes. We believe authentic materials create an experience that can’t be imitated.

Every vein is unique. Every curve is intentional. Every detail is designed to stand the test of time.

This is only the beginning—stay with us as this fireplace wall transforms into one of the home’s defining architectural features.

A special thank you to .canada for providing this remarkable material. We love working with partners who share our commitment to craftsmanship and innovation.
