Miracle happened Mom’s prayer was granted, she never gives up on me through her difficulties and hardship journey in Canada and I got the chance to be with my mom after 20 and a half years far from each other and that is the first time I saw hugged, kissed, and talked to her in person. Now, the empty spaces in my heart are finally filled with warmth love. Back in the Philippines, I’m studying in a University to become a Computer Engineer someday. I finished my Senior High School then came here to Canada because my Mom wished us to be re-united with my eldest brother. Luckily, I got a full-time job as a Machine Builder in a company, related to my course. Now, I can help my mom and my family. I started waking up at 5:30 in the morning, preparing my stuff going to work and going home late at 10:30 PM because I worked far away and prepare again my stuff for tomorrow, that is my every day’s routine and sometimes I’m also working on Saturdays. As a teenager and young entrepreneur, I want to help my Mom, my family and also reach my dream little by little that’s why even there are difficulties, I keep on going and do my best everyday for my goals. My life turned upside down and differently. That accident stopped me from fulfilling my duties as a Health Care Worker due of my rotator cuff surgery that left me incapable of doing the heavy lifting job that I used to do. That time, I’m so worried and over thinking about what will happen to secure my family’s future. And because I’m not getting any younger and find it hard to apply again for another job. My dream to retire early is also one of my worries as I have no savings to sustain my daily needs. That time, I have no idea where to start.
