A number of our members attended E.A.I.V.T's Annual Congress in Baveno, Italy last week.

The Congress was informative and well attended with over 350 attendees from more than 140 companies and 24 countries.

The independent vehicle trade is alive and thriving.

We want to inform you of a possible strike involving over 9,000 workers at the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). This action, which could begin as early as Thursday, June 6th, has the potential to significantly disrupt supply chains across North America.

CBSA could participate in a strike or 'work-to-rule' action, leading to delays in cargo processing at international borders, ports, terminals, bonded facilities, and for certain export formalities.

The workers, represented by the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) and the Customs and Immigration Union (CIU), were granted the legal right to strike following a recent federal report. Mediation sessions began on Monday, June 3rd.
