mackaywong is a strategy + design agency located in the heart of Toronto’s Entertainment District. We happily spend our time dreaming up extraordinary guest inspired experiences for the world’s best restaurant, hotel and casino brands. Our work is award-winning and bold, but more importantly, it drives loyalty, increases revenue and transforms your beloved brands into admired marketplace leaders. Since 1991, the team has created hundreds of beautiful restaurants, bars and clubs, dozens of stylish hotels and destination casinos, developed a gazillion logos, umpteen brand strategies and left a mountain of lovely sketches along the way. Together with our clients, we define and position their concepts, visualize their identities and breathe life into the spaces using every means available. We develop what these experiences can do, identify who they are for and shape the memories that follow. The newly expanded gaming floor brings a vibrant mix of colour, light, and energy to the guest experience. From bold carpet patterns and illuminated ceiling features to refreshed seating throughout the space.

Designed to feel dynamic, inviting, and full of momentum, the expansion creates a gaming environment that reflects the excitement of Red Shores.

A closer look at The Rec Room in Vancouver, featured in Polyflor’s latest case study.
For this vibrant entertainment and dining destination, our team specified Polyflor’s Expona Commercial PUR flooring to support a high-traffic space that needed durability, easy maintenance, and strong visual impact. Led by Design Director Sarah Degrace, the project transformed the historic Granville Street venue into a bold and energetic environment where the flooring helps define the guest experience while complementing the building’s heritage-inspired design.

We are thrilled to announce that mackaywong is leading the creative repositioning of Toronto's iconic Real Sports Bar & Grill for Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment.

Our vision is to immerse guests in the heart of Toronto Sports fandom and create the ultimate Gameday experience. The updated interior will boast exciting immersive video, state-of-the-art audio, and 'Hall of Fame' grade sports memorabilia. We've even integrated a portion of the 2019 Raptors Championship Court, allowing fans to stand on the exact spot where Kawhi Leonard launched his memorable playoff Buzzer Be**er!
