Bamboostar Productions Food focused Graphic Design, Branding and Media Production by Local Toronto artist Jon Pong
Twitter and IG: Stuck in the middle.

Bamboostar: A literal translation from an old Cantonese slang “Jook Sing” used to refer to Canadian born Chinese as being caught between the notches of a bamboo stick. Inbetween cultures. Instead of the derogatory nature the term may have originally meant to express, my view is that this sub-culture if you will, has a unique identity of it’s own. Being rooted in multiple cultures brings about a multi-faceted worldview, providing for dynamic cross-cultural perspectives that can be leveraged into powerful streams of creative expression. Join me and follow along on this exciting journey of Bamboostar. - Jon Pong
