This past weekend, I had the pleasure of moderating The Art of Pitching panel at the Summit, and what an incredible conversation it was with Ashley McKenzie-Barnes and Jelissa Iris.

We explored what it takes to craft a strong pitch, how to be persistent without crossing the line into being pushy, and the importance of showing up with confidence and authenticity.

Our panellists shared powerful stories from their own journeys, highlighting both wins and lessons learned, that left the audience inspired and energized to refine their own pitches.

🎉 Celebrating the Success of RISING VR 2024! 🎉

We are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of the RISING VR program for 2024! Over the past 14 weeks, our incredible participants have shown immense dedication, creativity, and innovation. It has been an absolute joy to witness their growth and achievements.

We are incredibly proud of the three winners who took home prizes of $3,000, $2,000, and $1,000 for their outstanding projects. Their hard work and ingenuity truly shone through, and we can’t wait to see where their journeys take them next.

As the co-founder of RISING VR, I am filled with pride and happiness seeing the impact of the business fundamentals portion of the program. Watching our participants succeed and bring their ideas to life using VR has been a deeply rewarding experience.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported us, and to our participants for their passion and perseverance. As a team, we will continue empowering Afro-Diasporic creators for the foreseeable future.
