Home-Aide offers non-medical personal and home support services to individuals in need of assistance in maintaining a comfortable and dignified lifestyle. These services will be available to anyone in need, which can include but is not limited to: families, single parents, the intellectually disabled, individuals recovering from surgery or other ailments and seniors. Home-Aide
will offer a variety of services to help enhance ones current situation such as:
• Social visits (talk about news, family history or life in general)
• Grocery runs and other errands
• Assistance cleaning and organizing
• Assistance with basic home maintenance (shoveling, spring cleaning, gutters)
• Assistance moving and packing
• Basic computer assistance (e-mails, social networking)
• Laundry assistance and changing bed linens
• Writing and sending letters
• Assistance cooking and creating a simple and healthy meal plan
• Assistance with basic pet care (walking, bathing)
• Child care
• Tutoring
Home-Aide’s customers will benefit from relief of tedious every-day tasks enabling people to spend more time with their families and doing the things they enjoy. Home-Aide is directly related to my past experience as Community Relation Manager for a retirement home. I held a dual role consisting of sales and marketing as well as facilitating and organizing activities, outings and events for the residents. These activities and outings were designed to enrich the residents’ personal lives through social, intellectual, spiritual, physical, vocational and emotional programs, such as:
Social: Shopping, outings and afternoon entertainment
Intellectual: Life Talk, trivia and word games
Spiritual: Java Music Club and daily mass
Physical: Gentle exercise, bean bag toss and Rhythm n’ Moves
Vocational: Bingo, card games and afternoon baking
Emotional: Life talk and reminiscing
My experience working for a Restoration company is also an asset to the business in view of the fact that I became competent in minor home repairs such as: painting, taping and plastering and the installation of various types of flooring. Home-Aide is also related to my experience working as an English teacher at Kid Castle in Wenzhou, China, where I spent 11 months teaching numerous classes of children aging from 4-18 years old. The curriculum was mainly focused on teaching the common English vocabulary, some differences between the Canadian-English culture compared to theirs, organizing simple games to help children understand the language and providing additional assistance and tutoring to students that require it. I am also a great cook, very clean and physically fit to do basic home maintenance. PRICING
Home-Aide’s services will be based on the needs of the individual and the prices will correspond to the amount of time spent completing the service.
