What to do After an Auto Accident



STEP 1 Stop your vehicle.Assess the safety of yourself and those around you. If it is safe to do so, get out of your car. If anyone is injured call 911 immediately.

STEP 2 If you have access to a digital camera or a cell phone, you should use it to take pictures of the scene.

STEP 3 When it is safe, move your vehicle to the side of the road, out of traffic. If your vehicle cannot be driven, turn on your hazard lights or use cones, warning triangles or flares, as appropriate.

STEP 4 Exchange information such as:
Vehicle registration/ownership
Insurance Company
Driver's License
Phone Number

STEP 6 Inform your insurance company.

STEP 7 CALL ABC SPECIALISTS.
