Know Your Difference was birthed in 2010. It was about branding, differentiation and standing out when everyone else blends in. It became a book and an online course and attracted dozens of clients who wanted to do a better job at standing out. It took me speaking around the world. Somehow, I got sidetracked, and I let it fizzle out a few years ago. I had a recent epiphany that knowing your difference is more important than ever, and it’s not about saying you're different... it’s about truly being different in every way. Hello, I'm back! I haven't been here for a while but I have some new things to talk to you about. It seems like since the pandemic started everything on Linkedin became about selling. "Hey try my service, you'll love it" from people who don't even know me. It's the worst way to make the right connections. I was wondering if there was a better way and I found one. We'll start in January with a class to upgrade your profile and then in February, a class about how to connect on LinkedIn in a different way that's not awkward or salsey. Would you like to know what your clients really need from you right now?

I'm sure like me you've been getting an email every 5 seconds from another organization saying "We're here for you". They are all basically saying the same thing and I've stopped reading most of them.

But here's the thing...

Communication is more important than ever right now and there is not a lot of good communication happening. Everybody knows they are supposed to wash their hands and do social distancing, but your clients are not coming up with original or meaningful things to say. You are the idea person and your clients need ideas!
