Speaking practice in the topic “Hometown”
The best part of my hometown is the ocean. Not only does it play a crucial role in the city’s economy, but also, it has a significant contribution to the culture and people’s way of life.
Economy-wise, the city is one of the nation’s biggest marine transport hubs with ports that can accommodate the world’s largest cargo ships coming and going everyday, and, occasionally, cruise ships. One top of that, we’re also one of the most popular destinations for tourists from all over the country.
The most noticeable role the ocean has in our culture is that it provides a safe space for relationship bond to take place. We have a 9km beach embarkment where You can easily spot families spending quality time together, or loving couples enjoying stunning sunset, or a group of friends sharing happy moments over street food
Personally, I like having a coffee at a coffee shop by the beach, mainly to enjoy the gorgeous ocean view, fresh air and, sometimes, self-reflection.
