Our client, a digital video agency is looking for an organized Account Manager that will manage the relationship between our clients and creative team, with a focus on project management & delivery, as well as relationship development both internally & externally.
We have worked very hard to develop strong relationships with our clients over the years, and we’re looking for a candidate that is worthy of our trust, possesses a strong work ethic, and will help to expand existing relationships.
Responsibilities include planning (delivery schedule, shoot schedule, and feedback schedule), casting, budget supervision, and managing client feedback & expectations.
From time to time, you might be asked to travel with the production crew to various cities in Canada & the US, or supervise production in the GTA.
In this role, you will ultimately own client relationships, and as you get more comfortable, take on more client-facing responsibilities. You must be comfortable speaking on video conferences, in person, and have strong writing and communication skills.
Candidates that can demonstrate their ability to work with others, build consensus, and find compromise will find themselves most successful.
Duties:
Create organization & logistics materials for clients (workback schedules, delivery schedules, shoot schedules).
Supervise budgets throughout the life of the project.
Advocating for the creative team to the client, and advocating for the client with the creative team.
Building creative concepts.
Ensure that shoots are staffed and organized in advance of the shoot day
Involved in casting & crew shoots of various complexity. Production experience is an asset*
Interacting with the clients over email, phone and in person.
80% of the role will be focused on account management.
20% of the role will be focused on business development via expanding relationships and upselling.
Education/Work Experience
Post-Secondary in a related field (Film/Television/Advertising/Business).
Previous work experience (Account Management or Film) is a must.
Comfortable with learning new technology.
Specific Skills & Qualifications:
Holds a valid Driver’s License, and is comfortable driving vehicles over the GTA (cars, minivans, and small trucks).
Able to freely travel in Canada & the US. Travel 5%-10%.
Familiarity with MS Office Suite and Apple iWork
Strong sense of professionalism
Skills that will help, but are not mandatory:
Fluent in French (or another language)
Familiar with film production
You will generally be expected to hold hours between 9:30 am-6 pm. These hours can differ with respect to deadlines and shoots. Lieu time will be given for hours exceeded.
Work Arrangements
Through the pandemic, VMG has developed a workflow that allows for remote work. You will have the option to work from home, with the expectation that you are still available for in-person meetings & collaborative sessions from time to time. If you prefer to come into our Liberty Village office regularly, you are welcome to do so.
