NUEVOS CAMBIOS
Inmigracion Canada ha introducido nuevos cambios en la forma de enviar algunas aplicaciones. Ahora quien aplique por permiso de estudio o su extension o extension de visa de visitante o permiso de trabajo dentro de Canadá, debe aplicar electronicamente. Inmigracion no recibirá mas aplicaciones por correo, salvó en casos muy excepcionales.

NEW CHANGES
Immigration Canada has introduced new changes on the way the applications are submitted. Paper applications are not longer accepted, Except on very specific circunstances.

NEW EXPRESS ENTRY DRAW
3350 invitations to apply for permanent residence (ITA) were issued on March 6, 2019, to people with a score of 454 or higher. 17,850 ITAs have been issued so far this year. The CRS is awarded for factors such as age, education, work experience and proficiency in English or French. ATTENTION CAREGIVERS IN CANADA
You may have the right to apply for permanent residence thanks to the Interim Pathway for Caregivers, if you came to Canada after November 30, 2014. This program will be open until June 4, 2019. There is no limit to the number of application that IRCC will accept. This program is for eligible in-home temporary foreign worker caregivers under the caring for children and caring for people with high medical needs pilot program. It must match NOC 4411 or 4412. Venezuelan citizens are now protected from being removed from Canada.
On January 25, 2019 Venezuela was added temporarily to Administrative Deferral of Removal List as a result of the political unrest and humanitarian crisis in that country, pursuant to section 230 of the IRPA. Canada accepted more than 40,000 immigration applications in January.
These applications were mostly through the Express Entry System and the Family Class. The target that IRCC has for this year is 331,000 but according to the applications accepted so far, this year could reach 500,000.

El pasado 30 de enero se llevó a Cabo la tercera ronda del sistema Express Entry este año. El puntaje minimo fue 438 puntos, 5 menos que la ronda anteriror. Este año han sido efectuadas 11.150 invitaciones para aplicar por residencia permanente, siendo un record historico en los ultimos 5 años. Se prevee que el puntaje podria seguir bajando en las proximas rondas.

A new Express Entry draw held January 30 saw the number of invitations issued in January rise to 11,150, making this the biggest start to a year in the Express Entry system's five-year history.
