I’m truly grateful for the privilege of being able to call myself a Father. In their unique ways, my children teach me important lessons about life, love and happiness. I’m grateful that they continue to push me toward being a better father and man.⠀

Truthfully, our children give us much more than we ever give them.⠀

⁣The last few days have been extremely challenging to say the very least. It has been heartbreaking to watch the repeated and deliberate acts of violence being committed against my Black brothers.⠀

I don’t think that people really understand the physiological, emotional and psychological impacts of navigating space as a Black man in a society that constantly positions us as threats. Racism is interwoven in every fibre of society and it often manifests in violence. ⠀
⠀
As Black people, we grow up in systems that devalue our Black bodies. We are constantly subjected to aggression, exclusion and false definitions of humanity.⠀
⠀
George Floyd was a human being. The Black man in Central Park is a human being. Regis Korchinski- Paquet was a human being. WE ARE HUMANS!!!⠀

🗣ATTENTION: "Dying to Live" is a theatrical play about community gun violence and the impact it has on the victims, their families and even the perpetrators.

The first show was sold out so due to overwhelming demand, Think 2wice will be putting on another performance!

I’ll be hosting the show and facilitating an interactive dialogue between the cast and audience!

When: Monday, September 23rd
Time: 6pm SHARP!
Where: Fairview Theatre (35 Fairview Mall Drive)
