From cold concrete to a place where four little imaginations can climb, create, read, build, and be in wonder.

This unfinished basement was transformed into a multi-zoned play + learning space designed around this family’s real needs: movement for self-regulation, cozy corners for quiet moments, accessible storage for independence, and plenty of room for creativity to thrive.

Every detail was thoughtfully shaped around their goals. To create a home where all four kids could learn, grow, and play side-by-side.

Goodbye summer and hello fall! 🍂 I can’t believe it’s already October 1st, time is flying by! This design and build was definitely one of our highlight projects this past summer, and I’m so excited to finally share these beautiful images with you.

I’ve always been a firm believer that outdoor play areas should feel like a true extension of our indoor spaces, and vice versa. ✨ This project is the perfect example of how thoughtful design can seamlessly connect the indoors with the outdoors creating a space that invites curiosity, movement, and imagination no matter the season!

Grateful as always for amazing clients who make it possible to keep designing magical, purposeful spaces for kids to enjoy! ✨

When my clients reached out to me to redesign this room that wasn’t being used to its fullest potential, I immediately knew what I wanted to do with the nook!

It was important for us to create a safe, welcoming, accessible, open-ended playroom for their toddler while also making it comfortable for the entire family to enjoy together.

And when I say I get to work with the BEST families, I truly, truly mean it!

Because when a space is intentionally designed for play, it becomes so much more than just a room. It becomes a foundation for confidence, creativity, WONDER and lifelong learning. That’s the heart of our Educational Design work.

Way back play back (do people even say that anymore?! 🤪) to this dreamy basement playroom we designed and installed two whole years ago!

This family wanted their basement to feel more inviting and calming—a space where their three kids could play, create, and unwind. From the cozy swing chairs to the art display wall, climbing wall, and those cloud lights, every detail was chosen to spark joy and support open-ended play.

Still one of our favourite transformations—because kids’ spaces can be just as beautiful, functional, and serene as any other room in the home.

We layered this space with elements that support creativity, connection, and calm:
✨Cloud pendants for a dreamy glow
✨Display rails for rotating artwork
✨A large communal table for crafts, games, STEM learning, and snacks
✨Soft seating and cozy corners for reading and rest
✨A mini climbing gym and sensory swing to support self-regulation
✨A large floor space for endless open-ended play

This basement was designed to flex with family life, and grow alongside their kids. I am forever grateful for being a part of this beautiful family’s home!

A profound loss felt by so many. The big sister to all of us. To my dearest friend Laura, thank you. From the moment we connected, you believed in me and took a chance on me. You’ve been an incredible friend, confidant, and cheerleader throughout the years. You’ve taught me so much in such a short time: to love fiercely, cherish the little things, never take a moment for granted, how to give yourself and others grace, prioritize what truly matters, take risks, and, above all, to live life to its fullest. I have always admired your dedication to your family, your commitment to your community and business, and your ability to connect with so many people around you. You have been a pillar of strength and a true inspiration. My heart is shattered knowing you’re no longer with us on this earth. Your friendship was truly a gift and your love will forever remain in my heart! I miss your smile, our laughs, our random chats and our friendship already. Love you forever Laura 💛

My deepest condolences to the entire GG family. There are no words to this immense loss. Love you all!

Happy New Year… in March! 🫣😅 It’s been a while—definitely not intentional; there’s just been so much going on.

I’m excited to kick off 2025 with a sneak peek of this basement playroom we designed and installed for .giuliani and her beautiful family. Stay tuned; we’ll be sharing more soon!

Last post of 2024 and I’m ready to say... Siyanara! 🎉 This year has truly been one of the hardest for so many reasons, but I’m excited to close this chapter and embrace the fresh opportunities that 2025 will bring. ✨

Last post of the year with a recap of December and I want to take a moment to express my gratitude that we’re ending on a positive note, and I’m feeling optimistic about what’s to come!

1. Family Christmas photos with … didn’t get a chance to print or mail any this year 🤷🏻‍♀️
2. Photo shoots for our most recent spaces completed 👍
3. Attended the grand opening of the kids space that we designed earlier this year ✨
4. Executing a sports court design for .giuliani 🫶
5. The rock wall hold colours we waited for weeks finally arrived 🎉
6. Last e-design of 2024 🤩
7. A project that we bid on almost a year ago finally coming to fruition 🥳
8. December was filled with long and late work days - sending videos to the kids was a must and I am so grateful for all of the support I had during this time 💛
9. Finally making it to birthday party 💃🏻
10. My sis and brother in laws annual Christmas party 🔥
11. Family Christmas party games 😂
12. Family traditions are my favourite 🎄
13. Celebrating my father in laws 70th birthday party - milestones that we don’t take for granted 🥰
14. Solo salt cave session for my sinus infection 🫠

16. Said yes to a silent disco in Mexico when we went for my husbands conference and ended up line dancing to Spanish music 🤠
17. After 10 years since motherhood started I am fjnally working on my health - a priority that I’m continuing into 2025
18. Ringing in the New Year with family and warm weather and feeling grateful for every second of it!

One thing we have noticed over the last 4 years of this business is how much has changed with the way families are using their homes. Gone are the days with sitting rooms that no one actually sits in 😅 … hands up if you grew up with one of those 🙋🏻‍♀️.

Families are now using every square inch of their homes and ensuring that there is purpose throughout … which totally makes sense!

It was such a pleasure designing this basement remodel to meet the changing needs of this incredible family! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your beautiful home 💛.

As the summer comes to a close and back-to-school season begins, we’re excited to showcase a recent bedroom design that we worked on!

Setting up a designated area for your child can greatly impact their success. Here are three tips on how to prep a space for your child:

1. Choose a quiet and well-lit area: Select a space where your child can focus and concentrate. Creating a serene and conducive environment can help keep your child engaged and motivated while tackling tasks.

2. Stock up on essential supplies: Make sure the area is stocked with all the necessary supplies your child needs to complete their work. Organize the supplies in a way that is easily accessible and encourages your child to maintain a tidy and organized space.

3. Personalize the space: Infuse the area with artwork, photos, motivational quotes, or other elements that inspire your child. By customizing the area to their liking, your child will feel a stronger connection and increased motivation.
