Do you post job vacancy announcements on job boards or public forums in Ontario, Canada? Bill 190 in provincial legislation is introducing significant changes to the Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA). Starting January 1, 2026, employers with 25 or more employees in Ontario who publicly advertise a job vacancy will be required to notify candidates within 45 days of the final interview whether a hiring decision has been made. Additionally, employers must retain this information for a period of three years.
