Josh Van White first burst onto the scene with the band Modest Apollo’s 2018 album ‘Postsocial’. After graduating from university, he left the rock outfit and moved to Toronto where he played around with different genres and sounds, resulting in a few releases under various pseudonyms.

Van White finally found his sound with the non-album singles ‘Let’s Dance’ and ‘See All the People’, leading to his debut solo LP ‘Pacific Transmissions’. Since the release of his album, he has put out a handful of singles including
‘Little Joys’, ‘Strange Kind of Heaven’, and ‘Edge of a Dream’ — all taking different approaches to the 80’s alternative style.

His latest release, ‘There Will Be Refreshments in the Lobby’, is the product of a musical endeavour to write a song each week until an album was formed. Lead by the singles ‘Hypothetical’ and ‘Too Much Light’, the album broadens his sound ranging from acoustic indie, synthpop, and even bordering on electronic. Among early listeners, it is considered his best collection of songs to date.

Red Output, a saucy quartet out of Guelph, play cutting-edge, razor sharp, alternative/post-punk. With a boastable collection of original, dynamic, punchy earworms, Red Output has been tearing up the stage with an in-your-face sonic fingerprint and exuberant stage presence for several years. They have played many headlining shows throughout Ontario and Quebec as well as opening for big names like Pacifica, Motherfolk, Hotel Mira, and Texas King.

“is” brings a variety of textures to create its sonic tapestry of Love: from dark and driving post-punk to catchy yet gritty indie rock, through manic, noisy freakouts all the way to warm and tender balladry, “is” probes the many corners of our world and finds Love in each one. It draws inspiration from the sonic palettes and expansive creativity of bands like Fontaines D.C., shame and Geese while moving beyond its influences to carve a unique and diverse space in the landscape of contemporary post-punk.

Escaping out of the pages of composition notebooks somewhere in the Toronto suburbs (Inkheart style), Ever Since We Met is a band shaped by 4th wave DIY emo angst, skate punks who don’t skate, and stories of heartbreak that could probably be solved by direct communication & some eye contact.

Bigger Than Before is the culmination of the last two years of collaboration, inspiration, and growth. The five-song debut EP shows that Ever Since We Met is not afraid to pack a punch, yet invites all who listen to feel it together.

Album Highlight: So Much More Than A Dream by

By the time an artist makes their third album, it’s a safe bet they’ve learned a few lessons. In the case of Canadian singer/songwriter Josh Ritchie, those lessons led to taking control of all aspects of So Much More Than A Dream, with the result being a dynamically powerful 11-song collection that blurs the lines between modern rock, experimental folk, and contemporary r&b.

So Much More Than A Dream can be described as a concept album telling the story of a young adult searching for peace and purpose in our increasingly turbulent world. It’s hardly a stretch to say that theme mirrors much of Ritchie’s life to this point, having grown up BIPOC in Ontario’s Bruce Peninsula. Much of his music to date has been a product of his experiences, but on So Much More Than A Dream he pours his soul into each song, as on the first single, “Numb,” which asks the increasingly common question, “Do you believe in anything at all?”

It’s a significant moment in any artist’s life when a new creative path opens, and there’s an overwhelming sense of that on So Much More Than A Dream, an album that not only reflects Josh’s life journey, but also makes an undeniably original musical statement in an age when everyone seems to be searching for “authenticity.” To return to film analogies, Josh likes to cite a line from The French Dispatch, made by one of his favourite directors, Wes Anderson: “However you go about it, just make it seem like you did it on purpose.” There is no doubt that Josh Ritchie does everything with purpose.

Carina is a JUNO-nominated singer-songwriter and dancer. With over 30 songs out, Carina has made a name for herself with her stellar vocals, iconic pink costumes, and dynamic performances. She has performed at well-known Toronto venues including Axis Club, TD Music Hall, The El Mocambo, and more. She has also performed across the U.S.

Her original music carries relatable messages and consistent themes of nostalgia, being in and out of love, and tying in visuals that bring people back to their favourite Disney movies, Barbie movies, and animated characters growing up.

After consistently releasing singles and EP’s for years, in 2025 she decided to create her debut album Pink Noise. The album roll out began in April with the release of the first single titled “Locked In”. This song went on to be nominated for a Hollywood Independent Music Award in July. Now in September, we get the full project showcasing Carina’s diversity in sounds and style.

The title track, “Pink Noise”, even samples actual Pink Noise, known to help improve focus, which aligns with Carina’s brand of staying locked in! With intricate costuming and branding inspired by drag artists, Carina wants to create a safe space for everyone to have a voice and feel confident in their own skin. (Even if sometimes that skin is painted pink!)

Megan is an indie artist whose gritty, minimalist sound blends punk energy with dreamy introspection.

Whether performing in venues, parks or backyard shows, Megan creates intimate spaces for reflection and rebellion—rock and roll for late bloomers with big feelings.

Fusing confessional lyricism with a DIY spirit, Megan’s music explores themes of overthinking, emotional entanglement, and slow-burning transformation.

Megan Oquias’ first EP, Other Peoples Homes, was released September 19th, 2025. The 4-song collection captures the raw tension of beginning a new chapter later in life—gritty, minimalist, and emotionally charged, with echoes of punk spirit and dreamy undertones.

Anchored by the singles Killing You and Quick to Fall, the EP explores what it means to rebuild, to carry wisdom into new risks, and to find beauty in uncertainty. Oquias describes the project as a moment of alignment: “Everything kept falling into place and I knew that I owed it to myself to jump on this chance now, while it felt right.”

The band has cemented themselves as one of the most exciting new bands in Berlin with their signature high-energy live shows and danceable bangers

“Sugarcoat Bad Memories” is their second EP, recorded at the “recording ranch”, an old farmers house about 1.5h away from Berlin - redesigned into a recording studio. They stayed there together with the sound engineer “Dirk” for 5 days straight and recorded all 7 songs in that time. During the breaks they would chill with the cats, chicken and goats on the farm

“Sugarcoat Bad Memories - it’s something that we all do. We take something that at the time was a rough time and then a few months or years later we dust it with some sugar and look back on it with fondness. I think they call it cactus-tinted glasses or something like that.”
