**Warning** Real talk ahead…
We’ll call this ”The most important piece”
I’ve been privileged in helping real estate professionals take things up a few notches in their businesses for some time now.
One of the things I help them with A LOT is their marketing…getting more clients. One can say, “getting them up to the plate” so they can have as many productive meetings/appointments as possible.
After literally hundreds of conversations and meetings, I tend to come across the same thing over and over and over and over more than not: Professionals thinking that RESULTS (making more money as a result of getting more business AND closing more deals) is an effect of some ‘supernatural’ marketing campaign that magically puts prospects ready to buy/sell/invest in their laps WITHOUT a human element…the element of a phone call. Or more specifically, follow-up. The element of continuous ACTION.
No matter how amazing the marketing campaign, no matter how amazing the systems installed, no matter how amazing the notifications, no matter how amazing the automations in place to HELP (not remove, but help) with the ‘heavy lifting’, the most important piece is YOU.
Think about it like this…
1.) If you dreamt of being an amazing basketball player and Michael Jordan HIMSELF said he’ll PERSONALLY mentor/train/help you to become a great shooter/scorer/KILLER…YOU still need to work. Will one session make you an MVP? Ummmm, NO. NO action, NO results.
2.) If the TOP personal trainer in the world personally said they would give you the best program, supply you with the most effective nutritional plan to reach your goals AND you could use their facilities to train…YOU still need to work. Will one session have you RIPPED and looking like an action figure? Ummmm…NO. NO action, NO results.
3.) If the BEST relationship counsellor offered to help you and your significant other and guaranteed that they could repair your relationship and take things to another level so you and your partner can rekindle/repair/enhance your connection so you can be together forever…YOU still need to work (make the choice to listen and DO what the therapist says). Will one attempt at change and negotiation with your partner be enough? Ummmm, NO. NO action, NO results.
The harsh reality in Real Estate is the BEST marketing campaign will ONLY “get you up to the plate”…and then it is YOU that has to swing the bat. Thinking that there is some solution that will ALSO swing the bat is extremely delusional and the only thing you will get is perpetual confusion and frustration. BUT this reality is also the philosophy that will set you free. That will unlock and reveal a power that will open the floodgates to opportunities that many refuse to accept. If this truth can be WILLINGLY accepted, adopted and executed I promise you’ll dominate your market.
So, when you seek help in this arena next. The arena of getting more business so you can make more money, kindly remember, it is YOU that is the most important piece of the marketing campaign. So, if you have been presented with a great system that you are very confident will get you the business you deserve, remember YOU will still need to be the human that converts your clients. Remembering this will save you A TON of heartache and frustration in the future.
