To: Real Estate Professionals (and everybody else)

TIME…

Until someone can scientifically or spiritually prove otherwise, TIME is finite. It’s limited. You will NOT live forever.

Of course…you already knew that .But do you know what time LOOKS like?

This homemade grid is an illustration of an average lifetime in 962 ‘month units’…or roughly 80 years. The blue (or whatever exotic colour that is to you) is what is used up for me, 35 years 3 months, and the grey is what I have ‘left’.

Looks a little scary, huh?

MOST people will find this grid scary to look at but I choose to let it POWERFULLY motivate me to stay away from procrastination and distraction…the ULTIMATE time wasters.

Briefly imagine what your ‘time grid’ looks like?

It may have more ‘empty’ squares. It may have less. Regardless of however many you do have left, I guarantee it’s NOT a ton.

So, what are you wasting time on?

Still waiting to mend a relationship?

Still waiting for the “right time” to take action?

Still waiting to call your prospects?

Still waiting to get the help you KNOW you NEED to grow your business so your FAMILY can BENEFIT?

STOP wasting PRECIOUS ‘time blocks’ and START moving towards the things you NEED TO GET DONE.

My Real Estate Friends!

If you’re spending money on marketing and not making money in your business I know EXACTLY why…

And…

-It’s NOT because you don’t know how to run Facebook Ads.
-It’s NOT because you haven’t found the person who runs the BEST Facebook Ads

For the last little ‘ol while now, I’ve helped quite a few realtors solve problems in their businesses and earn PRECISELY the incomes they wanted…and without unnecessary struggle.

- It wasn’t because we used “super cool” Facebook Ads.
- It wasn’t because I showed them some ‘tricks’.
- It wasn’t because I got them hooked up with a “chat bot.”
- It wasn’t because I opened their minds to ‘funnel hacking’ or ANY other cute ‘hack’ or time/money wasting activities…

THEY…DON’T…WORK

You’re not making any money in your business because you’re not keeping in touch with your clients. And if you are, you’re NOT doing it properly.

My partner and I (hi boo!) HAD to figure it out the hard way. She’s also a realtor and wasn’t closing ANY deals. We talked to and studied some of the TOP earning realtors around and reverse-engineered their success. We went deeper and spent MONEY & TIME with some of the top marketers and ‘married’ the findings into…

You must have a strategic SYSTEM that puts FOCUS into F.O.L.L.O.W.I.N.G.-U.P.

Is the marketing needed? Absolutely, but if you want to get ANYWHERE with your marketing and put money in your pocket you have to stay in touch…and do it PROPERLY.

The WINNERS in this industry know it and are LAUGHING at the rest continuing to install chatbots into their Facebook Messenger and ‘beef up’ Facebook Ads.

SO, as the week is winding down and you’re not satisfied with your income, look at how you’re keeping in touch with people…with your clients. With your prospects.

1) Are you doing enough of it?
2) Are you doing it PROPERLY?

If you’re not doing #1 get off your butt and do more of it. If you’re not doing #2 then ‘get to studyin’! If you’re not doing either then GET TO WORK.

Oh, and one thing I also found out that I didn’t mention above was that those realtors were NOT any different (or special) than any other realtor out there…including YOU. They just committed to THEMSELVES and their FAMILIES that they would make it work.

Now go make it work!

To my Realtor Friends!

Quick question…

How do you REALLY feel when you see one of your realtor buddies celebrate their sale on social media (or wherever) while YOU HAVEN’T closed a deal in 3 months!?

While we see quotes and check out ‘cool’ memes that say to be happy for them (and I agree that you SHOULD), chances are, for the first 3 milliseconds of seeing that celebration, you DON’T like it.

Chances are even greater you know the realtor, even like them, and probably celebrated the triumph with them with a “like” or a “Congrats!” But…DEEP down, you wish it was YOUR post being celebrated and FILLED with “congrats!” from your peers!

If this post speaks to you it’s NOT meant to p*** you off. It’s meant to highlight some of those feelings you may have, that you KEEP ignoring so it can DRIVE you to GET…THINGS…DONE.

So, as we roll into the middle of the week on this lovely planet, put some STUDY into your business & LIFE plans, revisit how you’re FOLLOWING UP with your prospects and clients and make massive changes so you too can be celebrated.

BUT…if you’re like the many that are out and about strollin’ and already getting ready for the weekend, KNOWING you haven’t produced in a while, don’t let the next celebration form ANOTHER buddy stir up butterflies in your stomach. But rather remember (and celebrate) your current position as it’s what YOU chose and deserve…

How to TRULY reach your goals and dreams...

Happy Monday! 😊

As we kick off the week and work HARD towards our goals, I’d like to throw in a little wisdom I’ve learned about “goals and dreams.”

The ‘trick’ isn’t to continue to think of your dreams as just dreams. The trick isn’t to continue to 'make the most of our strengths and to forget about our weaknesses.' This statement is part of the ‘feel-good’ & ‘fluffy’ movement where people say things that ‘make sense’ and ‘feel right’ but don’t really think AND test their theories (keyword theories because people don’t test a lot of stuff out). It's obviously great to feel good and think positive but there's more to this so we can get RESULTS.

Anyway, the trick to getting what you want is to transform who you are now into a person that lives these dreams as standards. The reason is this…

“We are not the highest version of ourselves which we can imagine. We are the lowest version of ourselves which we can accept.

Understand that you will do nothing to achieve your dreams but fight like hell to not breach your standards.

As humans we will do more to not lose something than we will to gain it.

If you want to achieve your dreams and goals you must turn them into irrefutable standards."

There are TONS of psychological studies and plenty of tests (myself and people I’ve worked with and come across) to support this. Look up Loss Aversion and you’ll see. To sum that term up, people are more motivated by avoiding losses than the opportunity at gaining.

I would always set these goals and dreams and would make some progress then 'shoot myself in the foot' over and over. You know why? Because who I was at the time was a ‘character’ who had lower standards and whenever I tried to 'do better' I was literally not being true to my 'self' and conflict began. So, began the mission and focus to transform my ‘character’ into someone whose 'normal' were my goals and dreams at the time.

So, you must fight like crazy to transform into ‘the character’ who’s normal are your current dreams because then, and only then, you will fight like crazy to NOT lose your standards.

**Warning** Real talk ahead…

We’ll call this ”The most important piece”

I’ve been privileged in helping real estate professionals take things up a few notches in their businesses for some time now.

One of the things I help them with A LOT is their marketing…getting more clients. One can say, “getting them up to the plate” so they can have as many productive meetings/appointments as possible.

After literally hundreds of conversations and meetings, I tend to come across the same thing over and over and over and over more than not: Professionals thinking that RESULTS (making more money as a result of getting more business AND closing more deals) is an effect of some ‘supernatural’ marketing campaign that magically puts prospects ready to buy/sell/invest in their laps WITHOUT a human element…the element of a phone call. Or more specifically, follow-up. The element of continuous ACTION.

No matter how amazing the marketing campaign, no matter how amazing the systems installed, no matter how amazing the notifications, no matter how amazing the automations in place to HELP (not remove, but help) with the ‘heavy lifting’, the most important piece is YOU.

Think about it like this…

1.) If you dreamt of being an amazing basketball player and Michael Jordan HIMSELF said he’ll PERSONALLY mentor/train/help you to become a great shooter/scorer/KILLER…YOU still need to work. Will one session make you an MVP? Ummmm, NO. NO action, NO results.

2.) If the TOP personal trainer in the world personally said they would give you the best program, supply you with the most effective nutritional plan to reach your goals AND you could use their facilities to train…YOU still need to work. Will one session have you RIPPED and looking like an action figure? Ummmm…NO. NO action, NO results.

3.) If the BEST relationship counsellor offered to help you and your significant other and guaranteed that they could repair your relationship and take things to another level so you and your partner can rekindle/repair/enhance your connection so you can be together forever…YOU still need to work (make the choice to listen and DO what the therapist says). Will one attempt at change and negotiation with your partner be enough? Ummmm, NO. NO action, NO results.

The harsh reality in Real Estate is the BEST marketing campaign will ONLY “get you up to the plate”…and then it is YOU that has to swing the bat. Thinking that there is some solution that will ALSO swing the bat is extremely delusional and the only thing you will get is perpetual confusion and frustration. BUT this reality is also the philosophy that will set you free. That will unlock and reveal a power that will open the floodgates to opportunities that many refuse to accept. If this truth can be WILLINGLY accepted, adopted and executed I promise you’ll dominate your market.

So, when you seek help in this arena next. The arena of getting more business so you can make more money, kindly remember, it is YOU that is the most important piece of the marketing campaign. So, if you have been presented with a great system that you are very confident will get you the business you deserve, remember YOU will still need to be the human that converts your clients. Remembering this will save you A TON of heartache and frustration in the future.
