This week, Level5 “Women in Strategy” hosted an incredible conversation on The Power of Leadership Brand: Credibility, Influence, & Impact.

Thank you to our outstanding panelists (Nicole McNeill, Natalie Bisset, and Dr. Deborah Rosati) for sharing their experiences so openly and thoughtfully, and to everyone who joined us for such an engaged discussion.

Three themes from the conversation stood out in particular:

• Building an authentic leadership brand starts with clarity around three things: who you are, what you do, and what you care enough about to champion. Whether that is in the Boardroom, with your teams, on LinkedIn or beyond, that clarity helps shape a consistent direction.

• Leadership evolves through different seasons of your career, and the people around you matter. Mentors, peers, and trusted advisors all play an important role in shaping growth over time through support and honest feedback.

• Empathy is a leadership strength. Building trust, influence, and meaningful relationships with your team starts with creating a safe space for people to show up as themselves, and this often starts by showing vulnerability yourself.

One of the most refreshing reminders from the session was that leadership does not need to look the same at every stage. There are moments to lean in, moments to step back, and moments to redefine what success looks like for you.

We look forward to sharing more learnings and insights from the discussion over the coming weeks.

We often see organizations approach partnerships with the right ambition, but without a clear framework to guide how those relationships should be evaluated. Over time, that lack of structure can make it difficult for partnerships to deliver the impact they were intended to create.

In this video, we share our approach to partnership development and management, outlining four principles that help organizations assess potential partners and design partnerships with greater structure and clarity.

If you are thinking about how partnerships can more effectively support your strategy, connect with us to continue the discussion.

Sahar Jessa’s advice for navigating consulting is simple: be a duck.

There are moments where you do not have the answer, where the pace is high, or where things do not go as planned. What matters is how you respond. Staying steady, continuing to learn, and not letting every challenge throw you off course.

That mindset shows up in how she approaches her work day to day. Rather than trying to have all the answers, she focuses on listening, asking questions, and learning quickly across new situations.

It also shapes how she builds relationships, because for Sahar, the strongest connections (and the best work) come from being genuine and actually caring about the people you are working with.

Her perspective captures what it takes to grow in an environment where you are constantly learning. Read more about Sahar’s journey at Level5:

Customer expectations in insurance are being redefined by digital experiences across industries. Effective customer journeys need to reflect both what customers need and how they feel at the moments that matter most.

In this video, we revisit past work with one of our clients to share the six steps behind the customer journey approach Level5 uses to design informed, differentiated customer experiences. We also share where we see the greatest opportunities for insurers to stand out.

At Level5, we partner with insurance leaders as trusted advisors, helping shape the right strategies and the commitment required to deliver them in practice.

If you are looking to build a more differentiated and sustainable competitive position, we would welcome the conversation.

Most organizations put significant effort into defining their strategy, but far fewer ensure it is consistently understood across the business.

One of the simplest ways to test this is what we call the “Hallway Test”. If you stop a handful of people and ask what the organization’s priorities are, do you hear the same answer each time?

In our experience, the organizations that navigate this well make their strategy easy to remember, ensure it is visible in the day-to-day environment, and reinforce it consistently through leadership behaviours.

Our latest article explores how these elements come together to help strategies stick.
