Hindi lahat comfortable, hindi lahat glamorous—but trabaho is trabaho. And if you’re consistent, may resulta.

You have to be consistent in tracking your money.

As of Day 6 of 30:
Earnings: 26,400 pesos (615 CAD)
Expenses: 3,150 pesos (73 CAD)

Day 3 of my No-Buy Challenge

First day ko today sa class na in-enroll-an ko, and honestly, wala pa talaga akong expectations.

Pagdating doon, ayun… napagastos agad. Gutom + rush + unprepared = gastos.

After class, nagmamadali pa ako papuntang work, so napilitan akong mag-Uber. Another extra expense.

Lesson learned:

Ang importante, aware na ako sa patterns ko, and I’m working on fixing them moving forward.

After class and work, nag-part time job pa ako for a couple of hours. Small wins pa rin — kahit may gastos, may kinita at may natutunan.

Earnings today: ₱2,990 (≈ 70 CAD) for 3.5 hours
Expenses today: ₱1,650 (≈ 38 CAD)

Next time: sariling food, sariling plano, mas controlled ang gastos.

Trial and error, but still in my savings era 💪✨

Day 2 — not that strong 😁

Alam ko challenging ‘to, especially kasi once in a while I go out with friends. And honestly, I think that’s still necessary spending — it’s about balance, not restriction.

Few years back, ganito na ako — bihira mag-shopping, no impulse buying, very mindful sa gastos. And totoo, malaki yung na-save ko during that time.

But this time, mas intentional na.

I’m doing this not just to save, but to track everything.

Because saving is good —
but tracking makes it powerful.

Mas motivating, mas eye-opening, mas real yung journey.
And I decided to share my earnings daily too for transparency.

Earnings today: ₱5,320
Expenses: ₱1,500 (food)

Every day na hindi ako nag-iimpulse buy is already a win.

Hindi siya tungkol sa pagtitiis —
it’s about being aware, intentional, and building habits aligned with my future goals.

Excited na ako makita yung total savings ko at the end of this challenge.

Let’s go, Day 3! 🔥

03/25/2026

I decided to start my No Buy Challenge after realizing something—
I’ve been spending so much on things I don’t really need.

Little purchases here and there…
and before I know it, the total is already big.

Background: Live-in nanny in Toronto

New year, new mindset.
This time, I want to be more mindful, intentional, and financially aware.

I’m not aiming to be perfect—
I just want to be better.

Today is Day 1 of my No Buy era
(unnecessary spending only, of course 😅)

I’ll be tracking my expenses (and maybe even my income) for 365 days
to see how much I can actually save in a year.

It’s time to choose discipline over impulse,
and growth over instant gratification.

Let’s see the difference after one year.
Future self, I’m doing this for you.

Hi everyone 👋

This page is where I’ll be sharing my No Buy Challenge journey—real life, real numbers, real lessons.

I started this on January 1, 2026 to fix my finances, control my spending, and build a better future for me and my daughter.

but I decided to create a separate page para mas ma-focus ko and mas consistent yung sharing ko.

Hindi siya madali.
Madaming adjustments, madaming realizations.

This challenge is not about being deprived—
👉 it’s about being intentional.

Less impulsive spending,
more saving, more investing,
and focusing on what truly matters.

I’ll be sharing everything here—
kita, gastos, struggles, and lessons.

If you’re also trying to fix your finances or be more mindful with money,
you’re not alone 🤍

Let’s grow together 💛

Good morning.
