They fail because people try to build connection before they understand themselves.

If you don’t know who you are, why you are the way you are, or what you’re actually here for, that confusion doesn’t disappear — it gets outsourced onto another person.

That’s why modern dating feels chaotic.
That’s why relationships collapse under pressure.

Connection doesn’t create identity.
Identity creates sustainable connection.

Another year older has reminded me of this truth again and again:

Until we remember who we are at a soul level, relationships — romantic, business, or otherwise — will keep repeating the same patterns.

These past few weeks are always tough ones for me. I lost both parents within a few years and every year, this day feels like a doorway — a pause in time where I remember who I was, who I lost, and who I’m becoming.

This year has been a death of its own.
A shedding.
A releasing of the version of me who lived for everyone else.

11/11 cracked something open in me, and the Scorpio New Moon sealed it.

For the first time in my life, I felt freedom in my body — not the imagined kind, not the future version, but the kind that shows up as breath returning to the chest, a softening in the hips, a quiet where chaos used to live.

My whole life, I believed safety came from control.
From scanning rooms.
Protecting everyone.
Anticipating everything.
Carrying what was never mine.

But this month, my body told me the truth:
Freedom isn’t a thought.

A loosening.
A letting go.
