Are you focused too much on feeding the algorithm? Stop.

Remember the days where people would create social media captions in all caps and you felt like you were being yelled at?

We’ve been conditioned to think that if you aren't screaming, you aren't being heard. A lot of it comes down to the algorithm and the constant battle we’re fighting against it – this machine that has a voracious appetite for high energy, high frequency, and high volume. But here is the irony: while the algorithm demands more noise, the human being on the other side is desperately searching for a "mute" button.

At SongBird, we’ve noticed a shift. There are certain brands that are winning by almost doing a detox… a digital de-escalation. That doesn’t mean stopping your digital media strategy. It means take a step back and be thoughtful about it.
