Card shop break-ins keep making the news across Canada. Your most valuable cards deserve more than an open shelf.

Our new trading card display case mounts on slatwall, with eight shelves behind locking sliding glass doors 🔒

Shoppers see every card. Only you hold the key 🔑

Add the optional incline bracket to angle the case 15 degrees toward shoppers 👀

A tagging gun is only as useful as the barbs in it.

Barbs, needles, label rolls and ink rollers are the small stuff that runs out mid-delivery. Then the boxes sit there waiting for a price 🏷️

Check what you have left before holiday stock lands. Ten minutes now saves a stalled delivery in November 📦

Your holiday packaging has two deadlines, and one of them is this month.

Custom printed bags run 4 to 7 weeks in production, then delivery. Count back from Black Friday on 27 November and the order needs to be in by the end of September. For Christmas, mid October.

Everything else is a regular order, and most orders ship in 1 to 3 days. Plain bags, tissue, boxes, ribbon, hangers and price tags go in one order in the first two weeks of November. One order, one delivery, nothing new in December.

We put the whole timeline in one post, month by month, with a table at the top if you only have a minute: eddies.com/blogs/tips-for-retailers/q4-order-timeline-for-retailers

Custom printed packaging quotes usually come back within 24 to 48 hours. The quote form is linked from the post.

We have a few hang-ups 😅

One wall in our Toronto showroom. Every hanger style we carry, side by side 👀

Three things decide which one you need.

1. What is it holding? A winter coat needs a wider shoulder than a tee.

2. What does the customer see? Wood reads premium. Clear plastic disappears and lets the garment do the work.

3. What does it hang on? Some are built for a hangrail, some for a faceout arm.

Buying a display case? Ask three questions before you look at a single case.

Do you serve across it? That is a counter case. Glass front and top, two adjustable shelves, storage below, sliding doors on your side. 48, 60 or 70 inches wide 📏

Is the product tall? That is a full-vision cabinet. Glass on every side, five adjustable shelves, two sliding doors 💎

Does it need to glow? That is an LED tower or cabinet. Lit shelves, lockable doors, storage below. Or add an LED strip to a case you already own 💡

Start with what you sell. The case comes later. Shop display cases and counters at eddies.com

Helmet on a hook, jersey on a faceout, pucks in a basket. That is slatwall doing what it does best 🏒

It is not always the right answer. Gridwall wins when the wall has to move. Pegboard hooks win when you are hanging 200 of the same small carded thing.

Three questions decide it. What are you hanging? How often will the wall change? Can you drill into it? The full comparison, with a table at the top, is on our latest blog.

Two bag sizes. One tissue colour. One spare case of the size you burn through 🛍️

That is the whole holiday packaging plan for most shops, and it takes ten minutes to work out in September instead of a panic in December.
