The concept of WCOPA—how it compares to the Olympics.

At my age, I'm still learning life lessons. Every time I wake up, I worry about what the day ahead will be like.

I know I face many disappointments every day, and it's easy for me to get upset, even about small stuff. When things don't go as planned, like being late, getting interrupted, or sitting in traffic, I can feel really tense. It's okay to feel that way, but it can also make me feel bad in big ways. If I can stop worrying about the small stuff, I can feel more peaceful and focus on what's really important.

Sometimes, small problems make me feel like I'm not in control. But I try to remember that every problem can teach me something. When something confusing happens, it's a chance for me to practice being mindful. When I meet difficult people, it's a chance for me to be kind. Sometimes, I get really upset about small things to avoid thinking about bigger problems I can't control. But if I let go of the small stuff, I'll see that the big stuff isn't so bad after all.

I know it's hard for me to tell if a problem is small or big when it's happening. So, I try to ask myself if I'll still feel this way in an hour, a day, or a year. Letting go of being upset might make me feel happy again. Getting upset about small stuff isn't worth it. I can't stop life from having problems, but I can let go of wanting everything to be perfect. That way, I'll feel more peaceful. I'm working on it!
