It was wonderful to connect with community members at the Aroland First Nation Summer Festival.

Community Relations Lead, Clyde Moonias spent the day taking part in the celebrations and meeting with community leaders, members, and Elders, listening, learning, and sharing stories.

He was also given a tour of the community, which provided an opportunity to learn more about local initiatives, priorities, and the vibrant community that makes Aroland First Nation so special.

Our wildlife monitoring program at our Esker Site has helped us better understand the incredible range of species that share the landscape with us.

With approximately 20 trail cameras operating across the site, we collect more than 100,000 images each year. While some images are triggered by swaying grass or blowing leaves, many provide valuable insights into wildlife movement, habitat use and seasonal patterns.

A few of our visitors even seem to enjoy having their photo taken. 📸🐾

The real value of this program is that every sighting contributes to a growing dataset that helps us make informed decisions about how to design possible future development to minimise our impact on wildlife.

Responsible resource development starts with understanding and respecting the ecosystems we operate in.

On National Indigenous Peoples Day, we recognize and celebrate the rich cultures, histories, languages, traditions and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples in Canada. This day is also an opportunity to reflect on our shared responsibilities to advance reconciliation and the importance of listening, learning and developing a deeper understanding of Indigenous experiences and perspectives.

May we continue to honour Indigenous voices, support Indigenous communities and work together – to nurture a future grounded in respect, understanding and equity.

Why do we love Thunder Bay? It has its own day dedicated to the world of mining!

Thunder Bay Mining Day is a one-of-a-kind event that brings together industry, educators and community members to explore the role mining plays in our everyday lives. Through interactive exhibits and hands-on activities, attendees of all ages can learn more about the industry and its impact.

What makes this event even more special is that it is run entirely by volunteers. A big thank you to the dedicated group who helps create an engaging and educational experience for the community each year.

And also so grateful to our Thunder Bay team for representing us so well, engaging with visitors and sharing insights about the work we're doing in the Ring of Fire region.

A wonderful event as always and we can't wait to see everyone again next year!

Reconciliation is a commitment that must be nurtured every day.

This National Indigenous History Month, we reflect on the histories, cultures, knowledge and enduring contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis in Canada.

As we live and work on these lands, it is important to understand the history of the places we call home and our role as residents, neighbours, partners and caretakers. Guided by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Call to Action #92, Wyloo is committed to building meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities, promoting equitable opportunities for training and employment, supporting Indigenous business development and growth, and providing ongoing learning and awareness of Indigenous histories and issues within our organization.

We had the privilege of participating in this year's Webequie First Nation Career Fair.

It was wonderful to see such a great turnout and connect with both familiar and new faces from the community. We appreciated the opportunity to share the latest updates on our Eagle's Nest Project and plans for advancing responsible development in the region.
