BROS BEFORE FOES is an ongoing art series designed to make you laugh, leave you enamored, trigger your nerd-rage, and/or satiate your deepest, darkest Rule 34 memelord subreddit fan-fictions. You're welcome, I think? BBF is owned and operated by André Guindi, in Toronto, Canada. His days are spent animating cartoons for Nickelodeon; indulging in the finest margherita pizzas

the city has to offer; obliterating JRPG bosses; obsessing over creating new designs, prints, and pins to share with you; and spending all his hard-earned disposable income on pop-culture paraphernalia. We at BBF believe that there's a tad too much haterade in the world, and that we could all benefit from a good bro-hug and a little love. Okay, a LOT of love. Our art strives to blur the boundaries of heteronormativity through iconoclastic images that will—at the very least—spark a conversation about gender expression, feminism, and emotional connections. All of our artwork is hand drawn by André using a combination of traditional and digital mediums to achieve that super rad, electric aesthetic you're here to drop some cash on to hang up on your walls and wear on your bod. Each bromance piece is inspired by lyrics of 70's Rock, 80's Pop, and 90's R&B. Can you find all the not-so-subtle references to each one? One of our favourite things about setting up at pop-culture conventions is the opportunity they give us the to meet our heroes! This recent FanExpo Canada was no exception; we were fortunate enough to meet one of the animation industry’s most legendary voice actors, famously known for voicing the Decepticon harbinger of destruction, Megatron: Frank Welker, himself! If you’ve watched a cartoon in your life, you’ve heard his voice! Mr. Welker has worked on practically EVERYTHING! We are honoured to have had the privilege to gift him a copy of our Megatron + Starscream print 🤖💞🤖 Thank you, Frank!
