For years, Africa was a place I knew through stories, history, and the experiences of others.
Born in Jamaica and raised in Canada, I grew up knowing that Africa was part of my heritage but I had never truly experienced it for myself.
Then I went to Ghana.
I thought I was simply traveling to another country.
What I found was something much deeper.
I found a sense of connection I hadn't expected.
What stayed with me wasn't just the beauty of Ghana, its culture, or its history. It was the way I felt while I was there.
For once, I wasn't being defined by how the world often sees a Black man.
I was simply seen as a person with dignity, respect, and humanity.
That experience changed my perspective on Africa and ultimately gave me a new sense of purpose.
It became the foundation for The Gold Pill Group.
We aren't simply creating vacations or traditional tours.
We're creating meaningful homecoming experiences for members of the African Diaspora experiences designed to reconnect people with their heritage, culture, identity, and the opportunities waiting across the continent.
Because Africa is more than a destination on a map.
For many of us, it can be a place of reconnection.
A place to understand where we come from.
A place to discover where we belong.
And perhaps, a place to rediscover who we are.
