Introducing the stunning arámìdé handbag, accompanied by its beautiful arákùnrin sibling!
These handbags are not just accessories but a reflection of my family's cultural heritage. The name Arámìdé was inspired by a special name given to me by my grandmother's friend, which means "my own has come" in the Yoruba language.

Join us at on Saturday May 20, 2023 between 12pm - 2 pm EST to meet me and get your hands on your own to own a one-of-a-kind piece!

The name of each piece in our current collection is inspired by members of my family. We have a deep connection to the traditional handwoven fabric and I can’t wait to share our story of a*o oke and my family legacy.

Summer is just around the corner, and we're ready to soak up the sun in our sunnies while rocking our adébáyọ̀ clutch and arákùnrin card wallet.

Both of these are made from an all cotton handwoven A*o oke traditionally called Sanyan and are the perfect accessories all year round 😉.

They are both 1 of 1 as we make small quantities from the fabric we upcycle and repurpose ♻️🌞.

2 sleeps until the àìná clutch is available at the Maker’s Market

Each AADÙN piece is unique and limited as we make small quantities from the fabric we upcycle and repurpose to create them.

These two are made from a modern A*o oke blend of cotton and metallic foil threads. One of them is made from A*o oke that is all patterned and reversible while the other has a patch with holes and excess thread. This is as a result of the ancient technique of pulling out the thread while weaving, which is where it gets its name Jáwú literally meaning “pluck thread”.

During the pandemic one of the things that helped me stay sane and centered was spending time creating. I made about 50 of these bracelets with different color combinations of beads and waxed strings.

In honor of mental health month, we are including these as part of the items available for the month of May.

I’m looking forward to seeing all the color combinations you make. I hope it brings you joy and serves as a reminder that eventually everything will be ok.
