As promised earlier, we’re back again with a brand new Partner Spotlight! This time, we’re giving you an insider perspective on Zahra Adelzadeh’s unique trajectory–taking you all the way from her high school background, to her current leadership role at the Ryerson Consulting Group.

Years ago, Zahra was introduced to the world of consulting by embarking on “lighthearted and fun” speaking opportunities as a high school level DECA competitor. As a lifelong learner, she felt motivated to build upon prior successes while setting out on a Business Technology Management (BTM) Co-op degree. This inner drive ultimately sparked her desire to get involved with RCG on an Associate basis.

In between practical co-op terms and exams, Zahra’s passion for the consulting industry only grew stronger. As such, she acquired two key promotions: one to Consultancy, and a second to Partnership (the highest rank available at RCG).

Sarah Jalal is a 4th-year Business Management student majoring in Global Management Studies. She joined the Ryerson Consulting Group (RCG) to gain exposure with clients from different industries. She also hopes to advance her communication and analytical skills further. Her last internship was at Loadlink Technologies, as a Sales and Customer Success Intern. Sarah is part of the Ted Rogers Undergraduate Sales Team and is the President of DECA Ryerson. She also enjoys participating in case competitions and aspires to pursue a career in Management Consulting.

In this flashback feature, we are reflecting back onto Ladursa Sivakumar words of wisdom based on her associateship with the Ryerson* Consulting Group.

RCG: What motivated you to join RCG in the first place?

Ladursa Sivakumar: “In my first year at Ryerson University, I competed in 5 local and national for my first time, where my team placed in the top 3 each time. I realized I had a passion for developing innovative to real-world problems, which inspired me to open my opportunities up to the consulting world.”

RCG: How have your experiences with RCG shaped your undergraduate experience?

LS: “I appreciate how has forced me to view problems from multiple perspectives, and I am working towards securing a full-time career in consulting for the future. Being a part of RCG has allowed me to make impactful contributions to the through projects; while developing strong with RCG alumni who have provided me with training, resources and amazing tips for personal development . . . Overall, I’ve gained invaluable experiences at RCG, and I am grateful to be part of a talented and diverse group!”
