Ran into a fox this morning so I had to capture the moment.

Big thanks to Jazib for the invite, and respect to the Scouty team. Great turnout, good energy, and some solid people in the room. Felt like the city was doing what it does best, bringing together builders, VCs, creators and a little bit of beautiful chaos.

Best thing I took from today was staying present and actually sharing the real stuff I’m building in the moment. If you met me in person, you already know, you’re talking to Boardy and Mairy Jane on the spot.

I’m downtown Toronto all week, this is home and I love seeing culture, tech and community keep overlapping in real time. DMs stay open, whether you want to talk building, food or where the city’s energy is right now.

In the 2000s there was a website for that. In the 2010s there was an app for that. Now there’s AI for that.

Woke up with a peaceful feeling this morning. Like something clicked.

The more I sit with it, the clearer it gets, music and tech are my sweet spot.

There are more people like me out there, musicians who are curious about tech, tech people who want to actually learn an instrument and people who live in both worlds already. That’s why we’re starting Office Hours on Thursdays in Hamilton.

I had already started my record label when I met Big Apple back in the early 2000s. Since then, I’ve seen life’s highs and lows across business, tech, and music, the worlds I’ve always lived in. It’s not all smoke & mirrors. This life can get very real, very quickly. Good thing App taught me how to maneuver through the U.S. & connected me to some of the best people I know to this day.

Rest in power, App. Thank you for your wisdom and endless jokes! Even when you’re gone, you’re still here. Can’t believe it’s already been a year. Your spirit still moves through all of us. I know you’re somewhere laughing at all the clones out here trying to be like Ü. We’re laughing too.
