We're honored to share that The New York Times has covered groundbreaking TBI research involving advanced neuroimaging and Vielight technology.

In The Athletic (part of The New York Times), emerging research on itPBM and repetitive head impacts, built on exploratory findings published in the Journal of Neurotrauma. The investigational device in that study was the Vielight Neuro Gamma.

When an independent research team needed a rigorous, placebo-controllable itPBM system for a full Division I season, the instrument they reached for was one we designed and built in Toronto. That is what more than a decade of work on intranasal-transcranial PBM was for.

Most brain photobiomodulation devices are engineered backwards. We decided to have a little fun illustrating why.

Many helmets maximize LED count instead of optical pe*******on, which leads to a major problem: The brain is the most protected organ in the body. Scalp, skull, and fluid scatter photons before they reach target structures. If the irradiance drops below a strict biological threshold, the mitochondrial effect is completely lost.

73 years old. 204 arrows. Double gold 🥇 🥇

At the 2026 State Games of America, organizers merged two archery tournaments into a single 10 hour day. Anne Abernathy, 73, was the only archer who attempted both. She won both, and posted the highest recurve score of the day of any archer on the field, male or female.

Archery asks for exactly what people are told to expect less of with age: sustained attention, precise repetition, composure under pressure. Anne shot 204 arrows across 10 hours in the heat, and put five of her final six in the gold. Her score rose to 747, up from 735 at her last competition in 2025 🏹
