🚨 OINP DRAW UPDATE – GTA (FOREIGN WORKER STREAM) 🇨🇦

The Greater Toronto Area (Durham, Halton, Peel, Toronto & York) just saw another targeted draw — and this one was very specific.

📊 Candidates with a score of 57+ received invitations under the Foreign Worker stream.

💼 The invitations focused on high-skilled, in-demand roles, including:

• Engineering & technical roles (electrical, industrial, mining-related)
• Health & safety specialists
• Technologists & technicians across industrial and manufacturing sectors
• Scientific and technical occupations supporting resource and infrastructure industries

These types of draws show exactly where Ontario’s labour shortages still exist — even in a tighter labour market.

📌 What does this mean?

Just having a job offer is NOT enough anymore. Your occupation must align with what the province actually needs at that moment.

📩 If you’re in the GTA and your profile matches current demand, this could be your pathway to PR — but it has to be done strategically.

🚨 TR → PR Pathway Update 🇨🇦

Canada’s Immigration Minister, Lena Metlege Diab, recently stated that a Temporary Resident to Permanent Resident (TR → PR) pathway has been soft-launched.

💬 The Minister said:
“We have launched it already… I’m not in a position to tell you specifically how many so far, but in April we will be able to provide more clarity and more details.”

At this time, no official program details or eligibility criteria have been released.

More information is expected soon.

🚨 EXPLOSIVE OINP DRAW JUST DROPPED

Ontario just issued 1,404 invitations under the OINP Employer Job Offer streams targeting skilled trades and technical occupations — and this is HUGE for workers already contributing to Ontario’s labour market.

✅ Foreign Worker Stream
✅ International Student Stream
✅ Skilled trades & construction-focused occupations

This draw shows ONE clear trend:

👉 Ontario is aggressively prioritizing skilled trades, construction, mechanical, and technical workers for permanent residence pathways.

And we’re proud to say MANY of our clients received invitations — proof that strong strategy, proper NOC alignment, and correct documentation make ALL the difference. 💪

⚠️ If you received an invitation:
⏰ Deadlines are SHORT — employers and applicants must act quickly to secure nomination.

💬 If you’re working in trades or technical roles and wondering if YOU could qualify — now is the time to assess your profile.

✨ Congratulations to everyone invited today — expect guidance coming soon.

🚨 NEW EXPRESS ENTRY CHANGES ANNOUNCED (2026)

Canada has introduced 3 NEW priority categories under Express Entry category-based selection:

✅ Researchers & senior managers with Canadian work experience
✅ Transport occupations (including aviation & mechanics)
✅ Skilled military personnel

👉 Important update:
✔️ Minimum work experience requirement increased to 1 year (previously 6 months).

These changes aim to target key labour shortages and strategic workforce needs — meaning certain candidates may now have a stronger pathway to PR depending on occupation.

📌 Existing priority categories like French speakers, healthcare, and trades remain in place.

💬 If you’re unsure whether your occupation now qualifies under category-based selection, speak to a licensed consultant before making decisions.

🚨 EXPRESS ENTRY UPDATE — NEW DRAW RELEASED 🇨🇦

IRCC held a new Express Entry draw on February 17, 2026.

📌 Program: Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
📌 Invitations Issued: 6,000
📌 CRS Cut-Off Score: 508
📌 Tie-breaking rule: March 16, 2025

👉 This is now the lowest CRS score for a CEC draw since 2024, showing continued focus on candidates already working in Canada.

WHAT THIS MEANS:

✅ Canada continues prioritizing in-Canada applicants
✅ Large draw sizes remain consistent
✅ CRS scores are slowly trending downward

If your score is close to the low 500s, you are entering a strong range for future invitations.
