a lot happens in a week, including the team completely changing the shop’s layout, so continuity got thrown out the window xoxo⁠

but! it’s so fun to come into an office and feel like our jobs are actually Real™️ and not just clacking away at our keyboards. decorating, organizing, dreaming, scheming, and laughing with each other is the absolute best. the cute outfits are a bonus ✨✨

getting these walls to the nice cream colour you see was a herculean feat. who knew covering dark forest green would take a million layers? BUT things are starting to come together, we have RACKS with CLOTHES, and the countertop is in the right spot so we’re basically almost there.⁠ we’ll show yall the progress in a future post!

hanging out in person with the team is so so fun, because you end up with moments like Selina telling us magnolias taste like ginger and trying them. turns out they DO taste like ginger but don’t try this at home because we were all kinda insane to do it.⁠

somehow, this month felt simultaneously 5 minutes and 10 years long. we’ve been so busy bringing our shop to life, working behind the scenes on collections, overhauling operational processes, and still trying to find space in the chaos to slow down and just be ✨️⁠

we’re so thankful for the freshness of Spring and all the new things happening in Carmico and our own lives that we’re so excited to share with y’all. we hope April treated you in the way you needed. let’s enjoy squeeze everything we can out of May 🤍

it’s official, Carmico has a home!!! 🗝️✨

it feels like a dream, our own shop and office?! if you asked us even last year if we’d ever be here, we wouldn’t have believed you. after closing our pop-up in toronto, we’ve dreamed of reopening our doors, and this time, it’s a lot closer to home. this is why we’ve been a bit quiet! we’re been working hard on our HQ/studio/shop, and are so excited to finally share with y’all!

like moving into any new place, it takes a bit to make it into a home. we’re *very* busy getting it ready to welcome you all in ✨ more info will come on all that we’ll have available, the grand opening, and the rest of our plans for this lil space 🤍

for now, expect lots of setup content, fun behind the scenes shenanigans, and more info on what’s to come!!!
