EcoVolt Electric is pleased to announce the contract signing of a Solar Carport and EV charger project. This installation in Etobicoke is part of and ingenuity grant project that incorporates an existing BESS system with new software that works with the EV chargers and Solar Carport to reduce the impact to the grid.

Monday afternoon brought high winds and many trees down around the older neighborhoods in the GTA. EcoVolt was called in for a cluster of 4 services damaged due to forestry damage. 3 were able to be repaired quickly Monday night but the 4th needed the full day on Tuesday. This work isn’t typical for us but we do take pride in being a well rounded electrical contractor.

In the spring we had a 28 kV 600A Switchgear vandalized at a battery storage project which went unnoticed by the facility owner. Unfortunately water entered the switchgear shorting across the bus bars causing damage to the bus bars and fiber board. EcoVolt Electric procured and machined new bus bars and fiber board to complete the repair and re energization process for the customer. The magnetic parts tray in the picture was removed before the re energization along with repainting of the damaged interior. All equipment was torqued to spec and certified by special inspections.
