🚨 Emergency Guidance: What to Do If 9-1-1 Calls Fail

Yesterday, one of our most important and dependable services experienced some failures and inconsistencies with the emergency 9-1-1 line. While the system is reportedly back online, issues may still pop up again.

If you experience a failed or dropped 9-1-1 call during a crisis, take these steps:

👉 Redial Instantly: Try calling 9-1-1 again right away.

👉 Switch Connections: Use a landline, a phone on a different cellular network, or enable Wi-Fi calling.

👉 Dial Direct Backup Lines: Call your local police dispatch directly or use the provincial non-emergency line at 1-888-310-1122.

⚠️ CRITICAL WARNING: Never call 9-1-1 to test if the system is working. Test calls create dangerous delays for active emergencies.
